Greetings fellow car enthusiast, traded my '91 VR6 Golf GTi for a '90 VR6 Jetta GL a few days back and finally got around to making a build thread. This is my 4th Volkswagen that I've collected in my close to 19 years on this planet. Started off with a MK3 Golf my parents bought me when I was 15 years old. That is where it all began.

After driving that for about a year I started really digging the boxier look of MK2 and MK1's and knew I had to have one. Soon enough I sold the Golf and bought a VR6 swapped MK2 GTi. The engine had been worked on by the previous owner and so I provided it with the help of some Solo-Werks coilovers and 15x8 ESM 009's to get it looking like this.

I loved that car, but a part of me knew it was time to let her go. I ended up posting it forsale on craigslist and got a trade offer I could not refuse. That being the 1990 Volkswagen Jetta GL I currently drive everyday. The guy I traded was located 6 hours away so meeting half way was only fair. After a 3 hour drive to Boardman OR I saw it pull up at the gas station we met at and knew I'd be driving home a happy man.

A couple weeks back some ASSHOLE smashed my bestfriends 16V MK2 and drove the off. We still have no idea who the hell it was? Anyways since his car is totaled he said I could snag a few parts and barrow his wheels and tires till I can get some $. Needless to say I took his Westy grille, core support, and headlights. The wheels being 15x7.5 STR's.

After the wheels.

Wheels + Grille =

My grandma hooked it up with this sweet Budweiser beer tap for Christmas. I've been saving for the right car, and this Jetta is definitely it.

A picture of poor Abby ( My buddies 16v) After getting his old wheel off there was no way we were fitting my wheel back into that fender well. So, we made due. Suprising this worked really well, he turned around like this and drove a solid 30 feet into his garage. We were amazed.

Woke up to snow on April the effing 15th yesterday! What kind of bull shit is that? Got me a stanceworks banner, fo free!

Went to give her her first bath today, that went pretty well.

And then this happened... Fuck central Oregon unpredictable weather!

Okay here's the last pic for tonight. A shot of the engine bay.

Full mod list-
MK4 Intake manifold
Rear disc brake swap
Passat Steering wheel
2.5" Exhaust with Mangnaflow Muffler
TT or GIAC performance chip. (previous owner wasn't sure)
Deleted power steering and AC
Corrado Cable Shift tranny
Passat Crossmember
Weitec Coilovers (dampening adjustable)
As for now I'd really like to paint it, and get a set of different wheels on there. Thinking I need some sort of forced induction this summer cause I still feel semi-douchy for not swapping her my self. The cat scrapes like a bitch so I'd really like to get it on the lift at school and see if I can raise the exhaust up to go moar low. All in all I'm really stoked on the new ride and look forward to driving it each and everyday. That is all for tonight, if you read the whole story, fuck yes, you are awesome. Thanks!
