^^^ that's already a built bike, I think he just changed the tank color. People are starting to do a lot of viragos over the last few years. Classified moto has some nice ones.

Went out to the shop again tonight...worked on my headlight brackets/ exhaust/ and shortening my kickstand.. here are some more recent pictures of the bike and some of the parts I've had to fabricate for it...
painted the tank silver with a gold base coat
upper headlight bracket I made, with left & right adjustability
battery tray and brake switch/starter coil mount
seat bracket
stock air box replacement
Now I just need to wire the suzuki controls, and make a mounting bracket for my fuse box before it can run again...Last edited by EuroNut; 04-08-2013, 06:30 PM.

1982 virago..a bobber build
well my car has been on hold for a while now, and worrying that i might not have a vehicle to enjoy this summer I started building a motorcycle to have some fun with.
I bought a 1982 yamaha virago in the fall of 2012 with a plan..
this is what it looked like on day one...
Real ugly right?
well I was very aware of this...so a few short days later I purchased a gsxr complete front end...
here is the mock up of that a week later..
Much better! to get it to fit properly I had to have the stem modified by a local machine shop. At christmas my wonderfull girlfriend decided that i needed a new seat to help complete the look I was going for so she bought me this one..
I have since fabbed up some brackets for the seat/ tank, and completed a battery tray etc...and just this past week I received my stem back from the machine shop...
you can see some of my progress here..
I'll update everyone once i have some more pictures, but this is an early photoshop i completed of my goals...
