  • 95' mercedes s500

Hello everybody. I'll get straight into it. This is the car, a 1995 s500 that i bought 2 years ago. It was in decent shape, but it was still a 16 year old mercedes so i had to spend the rest of my money fixing random things It isn't much, but i thought i'd start a build thread since i have a lot planned for the summer.

    the day i bought it.

and it stayed boring for a while until i got a bit more money and started to modify it. I am not anywhere close to how i want it, but some little things here and there.

the list of things so far(not really mods i know, but i'm getting there)

    -Exhaust(because i was a kid and v8's sound nice)
    -s600 grill
-illuminated door sills(i have no idea why, just because)
    -euro clear corner lights
    -10% window tint
-new tail lights. feel free to **** on those, i bought them on ebay because the stock ones were ridiculously crusty. I dont know how i feel about them and i might just buy some oem clear ones.
-w221 wheels(they were laying around and looked better than stock)

    taillights

that is it as of now, my plans for the summer are to convert the rear hydraulic suspension to normal springs and shocks so i can get lower. I cant afford air suspension right now but that is definitely the plan in the future. I am also getting curtains made for the rear since i consider that a must.

As for wheels, i picked up some 20" lorinser reps for cheap. I'm not proud of it but i can assure you they are only temporary. I got them mainly because they were cheap and i wanted to test out the fitment of a 20" wheel and to play around with offsets and tire size. I figure once i get the look i want i will start looking for either 19" or 20" wald duchatelet.

here is a picture of the lorinser reps, my brother works a wheel shop so he stripped and painted them for me.

and lastly, here is a quick photoshop of how i hope to get it looking over the summer.

    Nice and clean!

The wheel wells on these swallow 20's like they are nothing. I hope you do something other than a Lorinser style. I've seen ways too many big bodies with them.

Look forward to seeing where this goes.

w140 and Yea, i think 20" is the way to go, i was also thinking about brabus III 3 piece wheels or similar. they are pretty rare and fit the style of the w140. Plus i want something staggered and with a lip.
