Posted in the newbie section but I wanted to start a build/update thread for my car to keep tabs on progress.

1996 Tornado Red GTI, 2.0l

Here's the car when I bought it with some sweet Ruff Racing wheels




Took those off and gave 'em back to the PO and temporarily put on some Rota Grids that I had lying around:


Looking to sand those down and put in better condition to sell to one of the local honda guys for deh lowz

So I have a decent amount of body work to do, including a full respray. I have a new shift boot and OEM front grill on the way, as well as some GTI badges from a part out.

Slowly but surely.

As for now, the engine and tranny are healthy, so I'll keep any serious engine modifications or swaps at bay.

Honestly gonna build it to look good because it's my d.d.

I plan on:

• New drivers side fender
• New grill (on the way)
• Optiwerks shaved bumper
• Optiwerks side skirts
• Full body work (dents, dings)
• Paint respray
• Wheels
• Coilovers already installed
• Straight pipe exhaust

That's it for now I suppose.
