I made a thread ages ago but it has disappeared into i can't be bothered trying to find it.
So here we go again.
August 2011.
I was coming to the age of being able to drive and my family not owning a manual car at that point in time i looked to buy something cool, i was originally looking for a split screen kombie but i didn't anywhere the money for one. Cruising ebay one night look at Vw's in general this bad pops up with auction ending that night.
The alright price of $2500 came fulll specced for a gl model.
After spending months jumping around in what path i wanted to take, went for doing some crazy widen steelie sticker bomb look to clean and simple.
So i went out and bought everything to needed to convert to Vento (jetta in america) front end, which here is Aus is rare as fuck seeing only 65 were ever brought here.
And it came out looking like this.
Also:
Dropped on JOM coilovers.
VR6 brakes and hubs.
Anywho the reason i am remaking a thread is because i actually have decent progress
Today i drove a 5 hour round trip to pick up wheels.
16" Schmidt MLs
7.5 wide et 25 all round
it's a set of 5 and they were only 1100 couldn't pass it up.
Wrapped in Falken 195/40s
Sat them next to my car when i got home. (cruddy instagram pic)
They should be going on next week when i get time from exams.
Will update with more pictures then.
