I figured I might as well make a build thread instead of continuing to add pictures to a dying introduction thread. This will be where I document my progress with my 1981 Rabbit Truck. I know more and more of these have been popping up here lately, but here is another

Recaros aren't in the car at the moment, but will be again soon.

Plans:
-Refinish the Recaros
-Swap in ABA from my '98 GTI (in the works)
-Lower the rear more.
-Have these sandblasted and refinished:


They're MSW Plutons and are 15x6.5 et35 and I will be putting some 165/45s on them. Should look pretty good I like to think

The two tires that are on them are getting removed tomorrow then sandblasted next week then ordering tires and hopefully on in a few weeks! So follow along, I hope you enjoy it, and there is much more to come than just the plans above, I just don't want to spoil anything

Thanks, they're pretty sweet. I've grown up with Volkswagens and a MK1 was always a dream of mine. The color is actually going to be changing hopefully within the year

Thanks dude, they're fun little cars, rather impractical as a passenger car though


I should also mention that the front is lowered with vmaxx coils and the rear has 3 inch drop plates. Also it is a 1.7 gasser, not a diesel, though I wish it was

Thanks I'll keep you in mind, but I have to say, that list is getting longer haha. It seems that so many people want one.

Installed fender flares yesterday. This will make it easier to run the wheels I plan to run after the MSWs. 15x8 et25
