For me, it looks low enough. Too bad old US-spec BMW's (and other cars like Benzes) have those ridiculous big bumpers.

Those borbet h's that the car came with are actually pretty period correct ...
The height in the last picture looks pretty good acutally, I know lots of old bmw guys who would consider that quite low.
Cant go wrong with 16x8 style 5's either.

Hm, I didn't know that. In my opinion they looked odd on the car. I saw them on a 1999 z3 as well and they looked more at home on there...

Anyways, I'm most likely going to cut my springs unless someone wants to sell me coilovers/sleeves for <500 dollars...

Yeah they were actually stupid popular wheels on bmw's and vw's back in the 80's and early 90's for some reason.... To the extent that bmw put them as oem wheels on the old z3's. I guess people back then thought they looked more modern than mesh wheels? They certainly haven't aged as well haha,

And have you looked at this?
Any and all suspension and coilover discussion goes here. Talk about how to get where you want to be.

I guess if you use the stock shocks you can get the whole set up for under 400...
Im not entirely sure about it, i don't have an e28 its just something I ran across while trying to figure out how to slam my e23 for cheap

I just went through that pretty thoroughly...except he didn't decide on a rear strut to use. Anyone have any suggestions? Or has anyone ever built a setup like this?
