High Class 2012 GTI and a Low class budget built 97 Golf

I wanted to start a thread somewhere to track two of my current builds both going in completely different directions. The 2012 VW GTI is going to be a sort of high class build with a small touch of VIP influence. The 1997 VW Golf was kinda ment to be a daily while I was doing paint and body on the MK6 GTI but is slowly turning into more of a project, the whole idea of the mk3 is to suplement my need of working on something on the cheap while saving up money for stuff for the mk3, it will mainly have a ratrod influence and be a car that I can do a lot of things that I've always wanted to do but been to scared to try myself, (shaving bays, interior work, heavy body work) It's going to be hard to be different with it since this whole rust thing is starting to get played out but its worth a shot. Also I traded a set of used Rotiform BLQs for it that I was just sitting on.

Gotta say I liked the BLQs better. The Bentleys make it look a bit understated imo.
Keen to see where the Mk.3 goes.

Merged a gti honeycomb grill with a golf lower grill, lots of plastic welding and cutting involved. And installed golf R tails

Cold not stand the honeycomb anymore, looks way too boy racer

Sold the mk3 and put the money towards air ride! Should be here soon!

Went with Switchspeed Management and slam series bags.
Probably going to be notching soon as well so I can lay subframe
