It's been a long time since posting and I thought I'd catch this thread up to where I'm at now with the car. (Sorry in advance for lots of bad phone pictures.)

A couple months ago this happened.

I got major defected for the height, seat, steering wheel and windshield banner. For those of you playing at home that aren't from Australia, this meant that I had to take the car back to stock and have it inspected before I could legally drive it on the road again.

It looked like this for a couple months while I was busy with other things in my life and tossed up whether or not to sell up.

Fast forward to this weekend and I finally got sick of driving that rattiest E30 in Aus so I got all my parts together and finally put in some work.

Put everything back to how it was except for the addition of 15mm spacers I had lying around for the front. This pushed the front out to 15x8.5 -9. With the camber maxed it fits quite nicely and gives it a bit of poke which I think makes quite a huge difference.


In upcoming weeks/ months going to weld up an exhaust, weld my diff and hopefully swap my 3" rear lips for some 3.5" so I can finally run 10s at the rear.

Oh yea I forgot you older BMW blokes have to raise the engine or cut and shut the sump.
Hoping to rock the hella low life by the end of the week. Hopefully my sump doesnt implode exiting my driveway/yard....

Older BMW strat: get an E36 M3 motor, get an e36 sump, make a tube subframe, cut and shut. Simple..... (was for me )

You have some no clipping life hack or some shit?

Call or email BC. Ask for the shortest shocks that fit into e30 spindles. Aquire. Get mad when it scrapes on flat pavement. Get madder when you get beached on the road.

Keep it somewhat drivable m8. Having it so low you cant take it anywhere is farking dumb. Either that or bags.

I've got a setup that goes low enough already. It's only my sump stopping me. It already drags on the contour of roads and I've literally been beached on a road before. I'm well past that point mate haha
