Wow, the condition of the car is amazing for having that many km's on it! The interior is pretty much perfect! I can't wait to see what you do with it.

                Thanks!

martinm13: The car isn't perfect. There are better cars by far out there with this mileage. It does need some work still... but one thing after the other...

Installed white turns today (tails are still in the mail):

                    And removed all the stickers:

                      Oh, hai, wat's this?

                      Well, this of course:

Spent yesterday at a fellow 7 driver's garage, he gave me some parts he didn't need anymore... don't need the kidneys but it won't hurt having them around. And the mouldings I wanted anyways, since mine are very beat. They need some TLC still, but after a good soak in some water with dish washing agent and some APC, the worst is gone. They were coated in dirt and rodent poo before hand since they've been sitting in his garage (an old barn) for the past 6 years. There's some glue residue on the side of the mouldings, but I'll get that off soon enough.

He also gave me a dome light and I used this to repair mine since it only worked partially.

Also discovered the car's received a new speedo in 2006, probably installed by a dealership since it's been properly programmed to match the car.

                      Slowly getting along...

Also did some research into suspension and I think I'll go with some AP coils eventually since I'm so satisfied with them on my 3. They're essentially licenced replicas of KW V1s for a fraction of the price (750€ compared to 1600€ for KWs), so they should be good on the 7 as well.

Whooop! Right one needs to polished badly as it's not as shiny as the left one, but it's waaaaay better already.

                                Thanks!

This was me locating where the oil leak is... discovered that it's leaving oil spots a while ago, starting looking for it. Finally located it as the top half of the driver's side chain case of the engine. Will see about fixing that next weekend or the one after that.

Today, I swapped in the fresh front mouldings I scored some weeks back. Due to the headlight washers, it's a retarded amount of work for a simple part like this.

                                First, the old ones:

First step is to get the bumper off, two screws in each wheel well and two under the front of the bumper.

Then getting the headlight washers out, which enables you to pull the mouldings.

Direct comparison, the old ones are all kinds of ewww:

Because everything underneath that was disgustingly dirty...

... I gave it a quick wipe down while I was at it. Bet the car's now 1 kg lighter.

Then the fresh mouldings can go on.

Next step is to get the headlight washers back on. These are the ONLY reason you have to pull the bumper for the swap.

The washer is placed on top of the bumper and the little plastic part and the nut go on from underneath the bumper, securing it to the bumper.

Reconnect the hose and it's set.

Put the bumper on and finally, it's done..

And also went back to the ugly stock tails for a bit, because my red-white ones are wet from the inside and I can't seem to get them dry. Even a stint in the oven didn't help matters. I likely will order a new set soon.
