3-on-the-tree is a must in any 50's/60's car that came with one out of factory. Looking forward to see this up and running again.

Well it's been awhile since I gave an update and I thought I should state the project isn't dead..yet.

Since my last post here my car has been sitting lifeless in a garage. About a year ago I was driving on my way home when the motor blew and I was left with a 3200lb paper weight. The car was brought to my friend's shop and sat lifeless while figuring out a solution.

Originally the thought was to just find another straight six to drop in and get the car moving but it didn't seem worth it in the end. so a deicision was made to go with a '97 Dodge V8 Magnum.

I wanted to keep the 3 on the tree so I needed a bellhousing that would mate with the modern powerplant and allow me to use my original transmission. There weren't many options out there.

    Old Bell:

    New Bell!:

Luckily Quicktime Bellhousings makes a multitude of bellhousings that suit most needs and I was able to locate one that would allow for the set up I wanted. However It did need to be modified to accept my transmission and luckily there was a machine shop/custom shop that was able to make the modification needed.

    Connection:

I'll update with some more info soon. Hopefully once the drive train/powerplant issue is solved I will be able to make some serious headway with the body and interior.

I did do my first upholstery job on the front bench. I don't think it turned out that bad for a first attempt.

    Yayy for PA!

Yes. The roads here are plain rough. At least in the East.

Cool car! Some chrome smoothies or dog-dish hub caps and rings would look perfect on here.

Been awhile fellas, I thought I would have more time but apparently not.

Since my last post another coil had been lopped off, giving it's current stance. I actually like how the car sits now.

The ride is friggin' terrible though, and on these PA road, you bounce like crazy, As of now building an air ride system seems like it might be on the to do list in the near future. I never dealt with air before, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Other goals are:

-I think I mentioned tires as a previous goal, but It is becoming a priority, I am thinking of 205/55r15 for the front and 205/65r15 for the rear, but i still am playing around with the idea of other sizes as well.

-complete replacement of the interior still needs to be done and the headliner should be replaced

-some bodywork/rust repair, as stated the previous owner must of done some backyard repairs,so I want to try and smooth these out clean up some things.

That's pretty much what I have been up to so far.
