Next - I always wanted ///M3 mirrors, but after a few months with them on, to me they just didn’t look right/ suit the e36 lines. So decided to put the OEM standard ones back on, but colour coded them to Cosmos Black – Looked much better IMO
Also fitted the RARE rear shelf with SunBlind.
Also needed to replace the front wisbones, so opted for the e30 325 ones, as they have stronger ball joints & also fitted Powerflex bushes (Powerflex (PFF5-301) Wishbone (Concentric Bush)), as they make a slightly sharper ride & are more durable than the oem ones.
Also reached another milestone – 160k BUT was time for some maintenance again & a coolant system overhaul was required, as the BM was not reaching upto temperature;
So bought ALL OEM parts as per usual:
Thermostat/ Thermostat Housing/ Radiator & ALL new hoses.
Oil changed too and cleaned out the ICV & throttle body. Not that the idle was bad, but was worth doing, as there was allot of dirt in ther & defo improved the idle sound! So quiet & smooth on idle (how it should be)

15” BBS Style17’s back on & FULL detail of BM (Compound, Polish & plenty of Wax) ready for the winter months…….
Not allot was done over the winter to the BM due to the UK weather, apart from planning what todo as soon as for it improved……
Anyway after finally getting the 8j wide rear Style5’s, I still wanted MORE dish, so was on the hunt for some 9j wide versions! Managed to get a set in poor condition, but didn’t really bother me, as had refurbed the 8j’s & knew what was involved & that the end results would be amazing!!!
Therefore got to work – (No before pics, but they were coated in chrome & heavily pitted)
Now for the pics with the 9j wide Style 5’s on the BM

A few pics with the Center Caps on. Also sprayed the center hex Titanium Silver (same colour as the BM) – It looks good with & without the caps IMO……..
Next the BM reached another milestone – 170k Full Service as usual!
Next, I decided to freshen up the front & replaced the CCFL Angel eyes with 5k LED versions (Much brighter/ whiter light than the CCFL’s) & still match with the HID’s………
Also bought & fitted some more LaminX Subtle Tint film, this time for the HeadLights. Now they match the rear lights & tie in nicely with the Silver N Black theme…………
I am very much likely to regret this BUT I have decided to sell my pride and joy..........
Only because I now have a company car & want something special for the weekends.........

1998 BMW e36 coupe in Titanium Silver
It’s on an S registration BUT currently has my private plate on, which I am in the process of removing (sent application), so should have the new logbook soon.
328i with the 2.8 M52 engine, I have owned it for nearly 6 years, which have been my best motoring years and have spared no expense on servicing / maintaining & tastefully modifying it & has proved very reliable and very enjoyable to drive. FSH / 4 Former owners, 3 of which (including me) have been forum owners.......
It has now done 183k, but believe it will double that/ even more as the engine is in Excellent condition & mechanically sound with NO odd noises, NO fluid losses and does not smoke and still pulls like a train.
With a car of this age all parts which were expected/to be worn have been changed i.e. radiator, viscous coupling, clutch/ flywheel/ various bushes etc. so would be very low maintenance.
TAX until June 2013.
MOT until May 2013.
ALL electrics are in working condition.
Washed/ Polished/ Waxed & detailed nearly every weekend, inside & out, so NO RUST! & paintwork is in top condition.
