  • Yet Another VW...

In no way am I new to the Volkswagen game, but I sure am to the mkv scene. Just picked myself up a 2006 Platinum Grey Metallic GLI 6 SPD this past weekend. Unmolested, one owner, complete service record, 113,000 miles for $9,000. I would agree I got a pretty fair off deal. Can't complain about that mileage though... My MK3 had 183,000...

    Stock car is stock

As you can see the armrest is worn out so that needs replacing. I'm a maniac when it comes to my cars. Everything has to be mint (which it never is) or I'm not satisfied.

The past 3 days I've got to drive it have made me the happiest person in the world! Huge upgrade for me from my previous B5 Passat and Ginster MK3.

    Previous B5

    Previous MK3

Plastidipped the red bar on the grill. I wasn't a fan of it to say the least... (Sorry for the shotty cell phones pictures)

Also put a yellow tint over my fog lights.

I got an early present from my beloved girlfriend!

New jawn from my girlfriend She knows how to make her man happy

Got the goods in the mail

Started the trunk enclosure. This was before I got around to making the hinged wall in front of the tank and the remaining floor covering the spare tire.

Got the trunk enclosure finished. It has a hinged door in the front to access wires easily with the compressor behind the tank before the back of the rear seats.

Gotta wrap it in some sort of material. I'm thinking of a black suede. Not sure yet.

    Finished everything up!

Here's some instagram pics i snapped really quick. DSLR pictures coming tomorrow hopefully..

Some more quick snips, but DSLR pictures coming soon! Oh, and a frame notch too

    Found me a jetta grill.

    Euro switch install.

    Sleeping picture

All red tails. Might get VHT Spray to make them a deeper red...

Got some nice weather so took some pics.

Got my Jetta fog grills... Kinda. The sent me a European fog grill for the driver's side.

Need to send that back so it so it will be another week or so before I can mount the grills. In the mean time I got one side mounted to see how it looks.

Next I need to order a new center chrome molding to get rid of those holes.

Props! I love it. So clean. Please don't go with RS wheels though!

          Love it

Your Mk3 is so so so good, so is your passat.

          IMO loose the spoiler.

          Sub'd in for sexy wheels.

I won't do RS's. I don't think 17s fill the fender well enough and super RS's are hard to come buy and are very pricey.

Thanks. Spoiler has grown on me. I like it now, but to each their own. We all have our opinions

Haven't posted in awhile. Did so exhaust work recently: Godspeed Downpipe and Eurojet Catback

Picked up some AMG Monoblocks for cheap, repainted them and threw them on.

Getting a few more things for under the hood tomorrow then getting it chipped probably...

Finally the big decision, big turbo or ditch these wheels and pick up something worth looking at. Or sell it like I usually do.

I'm leaning towards new wheels as well. I'm sure ill be more than content with power after I get flashed. I'm leaning towards 17s but not sure about how much wheel gap it would be at normal right height. Ill probably just get 18s with a lip this time which would give the perception the wheels are smaller.

Color matched the rear bumper reflectors today and removed the red vinyl on the tails a couple weeks back.

Oh and the Eurosport exhaust is on the top pic and Eurojet on the bottom. You can tell how much more the Eurojet fills in the gap. (I fixed it's crooked-ness as well).
