just picked up this 2000 A4 1.8t quattro to replace my nissan sentra

This is my first manual car, along with being my first euro.







The bad:
-front drivers speakers don't work, front pass speakers sound blown (maybe dust caps are loose)
-the climate control buttons stick/are cracked
-none of the the cup holders/ash tray open
-headliner sags
-missing door guards on the passenger side (not really a bad thing, just not proportional)
-windshield washer fluid leak

All the major maintenance work has already been done, and has been babied it's entire life.

I just have to wait for some $$$ to start rolling in from the sentra part-out so I can start playing with it

so I'll be pulling the headliner soon-ish. I think it'll match the cream leather nicely..

My goal is to get this thing looking decent by SoWo

some good coils to go with are STs they go low and ride well, also a decent cheap lighting upgrade is some drop in hids for the headlights since they are projectors

I had the same EXACT problems with my b5 when I first got it. Eventually I got around to fixing all of the problems lol. Good luck op!

thanks! I've heard good things about ST's as far as quality for the money goes.

here's my current pre-SoWo plans (not including fixing the stuff thats broken/taking off the trailer hitch):

Wheels are about a 7/7.5 out of 10. Polishing the lips would bring them up to a 8/8.5. The clear on the lips is peeling and there is some minor rash. Tires are shot. No bends, cracks, or major defects.

I dig them.. but after researching the stancing of b5's a little more I think I want to go with 18's and a more full face style wheel, like the A8 10 hole or MB Aero... although the new 3SDM 0.06s are really tempting.
But first things first, I need the lows

small update (if you want to call it that):

I tried to remove the factory symphony headunit to try and sort out why my speakers aren't working/ find the part number of my climate control so I can get a replacement.. and I failed terribly.

I had a set of 4 keys, got them all locked in, got once side loose, the other side was held in with the force of a thousand suns.. so I ended up bending 3 of the four keys notches.. so now I have one key stuck in the headunit and 3 useless pieces of metal..

I'm planning on replacing the headunit with a double din.. so If the next set of keys don't work.. I might just get rough with it..

small update:

-got the new keys and popped the radio out
-fixed the cup holder
-swapped the internals over to a new key fob
-ordered a new climate control unit
-ordered 6000k 55w HIDs
-ordered white led replacements for internal lights
-new license plate surround
-new wheels
