Heres a quick rundown of my daily E30 (had a 2007 Polo before it and got sick of boring cars...)

As I bought it in mid 2011:

Car is M50 swapped with an LSD, and had bilstein sports/eibach pro kit (worst e30 springs ever).

Picked up some Schmidt Modernlines 15x8 +10 with 205/50R15

Ended up getting some coilover sleeves and ran them with non shortened struts with Bilstein sports for a while.... (on bumpstops most of the time...)

Then picked up some BBS RS 101 15x7 +38 from Yahoo Japan:

    Which I had redrilled to 4x100 and built to 15x8.5 +18 and 15x9 +12:

Picked up some E30 iX bilstein inserts and sectioned 2" out of the struts (running a 1" spacer at the bottom), and fitted the RS with 205/50

    Fun times:

Car is currently off the road having a 2.8L M50 built (decided to upgrade a bit after i ended up with 12 bent exhaust valves due to a failed chain tensioner guide)

In the mean time I picked up another pair of RS to build. Started as RS279 15x6 +40 and became:

15x10 +15 for the rears, going to run 225/45 Hankook RS3 on them and going to build some 15x8.5 +6 fronts with spares I have.

Car is getting close to drivable now after the engine rebuild (took alot longer than intended...)

New setup is a 2.8L non vanos stroker M50:

          - M52B28 84mm x 84mm rotating assembly in original block
          - Rebuilt head with new new lifters and valves
          - ARP rod bolts and head studs
          - M20 Single Mass Flywheel + Clutch Masters FX100 Clutch + e21 323i throwout bearing
          - 68mm oversize throttle body
          - Turner Motorsport underdrive pulley kit
          - 24lb injectors
          - M50B25 intake cam and M50B20 Exhaust cam
          - MS2 PnP standalone with LC-1 Wideband

As any E30 owner will know - All of the standard engines are stupidly tall and the sump is just asking to get smashed with where it sits:

So that I can make the most of my new suspension setup (KW V2 going in next weekend - not with those monster truck rear springs though...):

I went and got a custom front subframe and modified E36 rear sump (thanks to The Arc Asylum) to give me this (how it sits as of today):

Pretty happy with where the sump ends up, KWs in and it will be ready to put on the floor

Engine should be all done tomorrow arvo then I have to wait until August 5th for the exhaust Just want to drive it already....

          Also ordered a staggered (16x8.5 +32 / 16x9.5 +38) set of Corvette Salad Shooters:

and 20/25mm adapters (final specs of 16x8.5 +12 and 16x9.5 +13) - should be here in a few weeks to run while I build another set of RS (sold the last ones recently)

Really looking forward to getting to drive it now and its getting so close now - can actually see all of the bits on the car and where they should be, rather than in a box in the garage

Sold the old setup off to a local E30 owner:

Good to see them out on a car rather than sitting in my garage....

I have got a set of centres+waffles off being powdercoated white and a set of barrels in black - hoping to have them back tomorrow.

Going to build them up as 15x8.5 +6 (5.5" Barrel and 2.5" lip) and 15x9.5 +11 (6" Barrel and 3" lip)

Still undecided on what hardware to use, as I have a set of original BBS bolts that came up amazing after an hour in my media tumbler....

                Built:

                15x8.5 +6 / 15x9.5 +11

But decided i want to run 16s, so sold the 15s off to a mate and got some 16x8.5 +12 (effective with adapters)/9.5 +13 (effective) staggered salad shooters and adapters:

Threw them on today (raised front 10mm after this) as I had run out of things to test in troubleshooting my stroker motor no start dilema

Now I just need to get it to start.....

So its been a while but I have got this car back on the road in the last month or so.

I had a built 2.8L nv in the car ready to go but was having infinite harness issues so it ended up sitting and i started to lose interest in it...

                    Harness Testing

Dad said I couldn't borrow his X5 anymore so I needed to find a daily driver:

                    1989 318i stock as a rock (M40 motor unfortunately)

2 weeks later with a quick cut and polish and my old coilovers from the other e30 along with the salad shooters. 20/25mm adapters for 16x8.5 +12 effective with 205/45 and 16x9.5 +13 effective with 215/40.

So at this point I was enjoying the 318i and borrowing dad's 130i for fun stuff:

Then a few months later a friend who had a US S50 in his e30 (of all the things to have in Australia...) told me that his car had been written off (someone drove into the side of him through a roundabout).

The car was dropped at my place and we ripped into it ASAP:

I sold off all of the parts I didn't need and was left with a complete S50 with 3.5" HFM and intake, 24lb injectors, oversize tb and TRM tune. Match that to the full custom non-cat exhaust I already had, underdrive pulley setup and my M20 FW/clutch setup and it was good to throw in.

The timing was impeccable as the week that I got the car running with the new motor, my purchase from late 2013 arrived

                    Work Durandal DD10.5 (16x8.5 +8 and 16x9 +10)

running 205/45 and 195/45, here is a pic from a meet last weekend:

Still playing with ride height, looks like I need to get some linear springs for the front as the progressive 400lb fronts the KWs come with compress far too much (my steering rack has hit the road a few times), and maybe get a bash plate made up to protect the rack.
