Great to see you are continuing the project.

Did you notice any improvement of engine proformance with the 28mm carb? I'm assuming you got a stock engine.

          Thanks!

There is no noticeable improvement of engine performance with the 28mm carb. There is a good sound improvement tough

Cool little 500! I'd love to see a little bit of banding on those original steel

              Banding? Whats that?

I'm currently considering to widen the rear wheels, and putting some streched tires on em.

Banding is just that - a steel band is welded into the rim to widen it. It'd mean you wouldn't have to go looking for adapters or changing stud pattern and just use the original wheels instead. Such a cool car man, it'd really suit them

Oh ok, I think we are on the same line then

The car is now at the paint shop. It's getting a nose job.

I think so! Was it bad up front? The photos make it look as close to flawless as they get. Are there many in Holland? There are quite a few here but they tend to be rotten with rust and command high prices

It wasn't to bad up front, it had some rust on the inside and there was a dent in the fender. It could just be fixed. But body panels are so cheap it's just easier just to replace them.

There are quite a lot of 500's in the Netherlands, the most are imported from Italy. I think 99% gets restored to original, there isn't much customisation in the 500 world

Edit: Also, I'm having the blinkers in the fenders welded out.

Definitely not, seen a drag race one in England but nothing as nice as yours. Keeping the best of the originality but just enough tweaks to really make it stand out - the untrained eye wouldn't spot your changes and that's the best bit. I love it

Thats the idea. It also a bit safer than an inner tyre.
