I have a build on here for my golf, but i figured i should do a thread for the daily aswell since its the only thing i have been building in the last 2ish years

DETAILS:
1990 VW Jetta GTX 16v

engine:
fully rebuilt 2.0L 16v
giac chip
abd big bore intake
2.25" exhuast with a new highflow cat

Suspension:
Raceland coilovers
Raceland 20mm 4x100-5x130 adapters
Porsche Fuchs 15x7 et 3.3 front
Porsche Fuchs 15x8 et-10.3 rear
195/45/15 nexen n3000's
cut fenders all around

Interior:
Stock recaro interior
Nardi Personal Wheel
Sparco 80g knob
sparco pedals

Exterior:
quad round grill with clear outers and hella yellow inners
smoked tails
smoked turns

i got the car in nov. of 2010
looked like this

then in the spring i got coils and some momo wheels painted the trim

then i put the 7 slots from my project on, tires are a bit on the big side

mandatory winter mode shot to prove its a daily

then came the mandatory bbs content

and of course a few random shots of additions





and now i am here with my daily setup!

just got a highflow cat, and new fuel dist. put in so i could pass emissions

new clutch cable, coolant temp sensor to go on this weekend along
with new accessory belts

car is back running just perfect....getting way better gas milage

anyone got any advice how to quiet exhaust noise, i am going to use deadner, but does sound proof carpet help at all?

I love those wheels on MK2's...very likely that a set will end up on my coupe. Anyhow... Looking killer man, super clean car!

alrighty another update!

got my new exhaust from TT

its the 2.25" system with the optional center resonator, magnaflow muffler.

i ****ed up ordered the wrong system, forgot my car was originally small bumper so the tailpipe mount is MIA, but it stays where it is. also i had a 2" cat nit a 2.25" so i had to get an adapter and an extra clamp but no biggy.

here is what was originally on the car, it was such a mixture of just crap:thumbdown::thumbdown:

and a rear shot, i think i am going to get another hanger hook welded on, so i can pull it up closer.


and my review so far.

this system i have is so quiet, my car was droned so bad before now i can barely here the car on the highway, which i use often. i had to piss around quite a bit to get it to fit, but that was my fault since i ordered the wrong system. other then that super nice product comes with everything you need. i will order the 2.5" system for my other car when ready! also for any westcoaters TT is in oregon and i got this after one full business days, super fast shipping!

hey just kind of a brainstorm here,

any suggestions as something i could do next with the car, its boring me lately

so after a year of procrastination and recieving the shift alignment tool i was finally able to get my USRT kit in, and it needs a tiny bit more adjusting and a new main bushing!
but it feels awesome, way less swap more mechanical feeling!

ALRIGHTY UPDATE TIME

Got rid of the ABD shift bar, it was hitting the tranny a bit, and re tightened a few more thing, also i can't believe the difference it made going to a stock back and not the abd bar, way tighter way less play!


Then i switched out my aweful stock battery cable for a mk4 one, so much nicer sits just perfect barely see the wiring


also i got a new shift boot, and ebrake boot off of ebay last week, went for kind of a new gti look, since the car is a gtx and all, for 30$ the quality is actually pretty awesome fits great!



then i got a different bend for my tailpipe seems to sit better still not 100% happy with it but its better


and this is all aside from a good wash and wax that i will do before leavenworth!:wave::wave::wave:
