89 Civic LX daily driver

Wasnt sure if I wanted to do a build thread for this since I dont plan on getting too crazy with this, but since the key word is "dont plan" figured I might as well. Picked up this 89 civic a day after I sold my Mazda. Runs great, only has 150,000 original miles which is awesome. Body needs a lil tlc but thats no biggie.

Was looking for some Rotas on craigslist, but came across these STRs and fell in love. Plus got them for a steal!



Had to stare at them in my garage for a couple weeks because I didnt want to put them on till I lowered it, and had to get some lug nuts for them. Finally just ordered some ebay coilovers for now.




Im pretty stoked with how it looks. I think I might take the sleeves out of the back, probably will level it out. It doesnt ride as bad as I thought. Everyone said those coilovers are super bouncy. I guess most of them never rode in a static dropped minitruck lol. Rides better than my mazda did. So there you have it, prob gonna get a new bumper soon and test out some lips, then eventually do some bodywork and repaint it. Guess if I wanted to get a daily I wasnt going to do anything to I should have bought a Hyundae. Efff that!

I know man, I was just ready for something else and been wanting another car for a while now. Keeping it old school still with this bodystyle civic though, im loving it.

Took the sleeves out of the back, dropped her down a liitle bit more but still not low enough. Also got a new front bumper and got a volvo lip. Probably going to get a new black bumper soon too. Im on the hunt for a 5 speed ef civic in blue, went with the auto at first because I just wanted something I could get in and go and didnt plan on doing much to it, but Ive fallen in love with these civics so once I find one im gonna have some fun with it, legit suspension, more low, wider wheels and stretch
