so 8 months later i was finally able to plan a trip to SD to get my e30 and vacation for a week while i was there. and i had a blast.
initiate photo dump!
start with maintenance of the tow rig. (1999 7.4L suburban) i knew it needed some pre trip work done so dove right into it the week i was leaving.

i ended up replacing the upper manifold gasket (because you have to remove the plenum to get to the fuel pressure regulator), dist. cap and rotor, plug wires, air filter, fuel filter, injector orings, and i wasn't expecting to replace my ignition coil.

get it all back together and it doesn't start. fuck me. figured out the parts store sold me a shit coil. so i swapped it out and boom it ran. go to pull it out and it then it dies. fuck me again what now. found out my ignition control module fried out. so i swapped that and success! i was super stressed at this point cause i was leaving the next day for the 2200 mile round trip.
big car problems

loaded up some tools

got my trailer

filled up

and we were gone!
hit the road and saw this gem

little further we saw some guys frozen lake racing, looks like fun, ill have to see what this is all about.

obligatory eisenhower tunnel picture

no offense to anyone who lives there, but i **** utah, its boring, flat, cold, mormon, and the cops suck.

hit vegas

absolutely had to stop at in&out and pig out

finally got to SD after a 20hr straight through dive.
a buddy of mine from santa ana came down and wanted to slide, i couldn't resist =]

good thing i brought a trailer lol

my homie roofus

got some bomb mexican food, this is a super burrito. feeds a small village

had to hit the beach cause the weather was just that good

then finally went to see how my abandoned e30 looked

to my surprise it looked pretty damn good, just had to put gas in it, jump start it and we where on our way.

hit up coronado island

this was kinda cool

saw some friends and old co-workers

then of course had more truck problems, i want a diesel so bad

had more bomb food

saw this sweet G

then i helped the friend who was storing my car put the motor back in his c10

it actually has a HUGE blower that sits atop it too.

needed more good eats, scallop tacos and buffalo chicken burrito

picked up a bike for my pops

loaded up the bummer

got some amazing sweets (fucking expensive but worth it)

and got the fuck back on the road. gonna miss you cali

plans for the e30. soon, do an I motor swap, new trans, lows, wheels, and maybe a late model bumper conversion. thanks for reading.
stay tuned.
