I don't see how it's off topic. I am sad/happy to announce that I am putting together a D16 sohc with small turbo setup now. Going to start making a new subframe in a few weeks and hopefully do the swap late fall/winter. Looking to make more power, 250ish at the wheels. Get the weight down to 1250-1300lbs. Anyway, good luck.

So... not much new going on, just prepping for the Honda D16 Turbo swap. Sunday I was greeted with a special delivery to my house... A original Minitec MTB frame. It was originally designed for a B16/18, but I will adjust to fit the D-Series accordingly. There will be a few things to overcome, IE, this requires a extended front (~4"), and sadly even the clubby will not fit it, so I will have to shorten the frame to slide it in. Non the less, it's a step forward, and next year should be a blast!

Eh, it's a little grubby, but I think it should polish up okay. D16y8 with Greddy TDo4h turbo kit. Going to do a top mount intercooler, a few other goodies, still deciding between neptune and hondata, leaning towards hondata since there seems to be more shops that can support it around here for tuning down the road.

searched "Supercharged V8" and this thread came up, that garage youve got is nice! looks like you have a bodywork/table style lift there? Ive got a dual post but its in my 1 1/2 car garage and it makes things a little cramped... this build is pretty cool but i think you should throw in some more photos of that red mini there!

The lift I got is a scissor lift, that is the "working" lift. 4 post is mainly for storage, but I will be using it for that car to get it back on the road. I got more pictures of the Red Mini, but I worked on it, and sold it to a fellow in Texas, and sadly it will more than likely end up in Mexico.Originally posted by FowlerE30 View Postsearched "Supercharged V8" and this thread came up, that garage youve got is nice! looks like you have a bodywork/table style lift there? Thanks, it's taken a long time to get here. Can't wait to get back to wrenching and less house construction crap.Originally posted by btns44 View PostI just want your garage.. and your cars.. Wow, good work.
Yes, D-Series with Greddy Td04h Turbo Kit. I have build a d15 before, and my first build was a B18c1 setup. Hoping to have a little bit of lag just to get traction, may have to look into boost by gear setup. I do have some sticky Yoko A032r's on it, but it's still gonna have a hard time me thinks.Originally posted by Queef|Chief View Postd series in a mini?? awesome! also that garage is amazing, more than jealous

To make a long story short, it is a old Minitec frame from circa 2005. This frame moved the engine forward 1.5" as well as the wheel base and required a 4" extended front. It was also designed for a B-Series engine. So I was able to retain the left and right mounts, but I had to cut out rear mount and re-fabricate. This frame also was setup for stock suspension, I wanted to keep my coilovers so had to make that as well. Lastly the front section I sectioned out 4" as not to have to extend the front. So there is not much I haven't touched on the frame at this point...Originally posted by kamjosbol View Postdid you buy a honda swap subframe or fabricate it?
