  • Round 3-SC300

Hey guys. I got myself into my 3rd Lexus SC. I've never owned one long enough to make them my own so hopefully third times a charm. I'm starting out with a pretty mint 93 SC300 with 107K.

The plan for it is simple...coils.wheels.exhaust.ls400brakes.

    :') makes me miss mine

that black looks amazing and the interior

So any specific plans? Like what brand coils? What wheels? Which exhaust?

For coils i suggest stance gr, bc racing, d2 racing, or tein. and for exhaust....that ones hard

Ls400 brakes make a huge difference, believe me also pick up some drilled and slotted rotors as well with those brakes, im so excited for this build you have no idea

PS!!! Are you getting a body upgrade to the 97+? or aftermarket kit? or stock with 97+ side skirts? Get the 95-96 or 97+ tails! and dont forget the sc400 front lip

      Hahaha thanks

I was pretty lucky to come across it right after my Q45 got totaled. It was a trade in at a Porsche dealership.

The plan for now is Tein SS cus I had those on my last SC400 and loved them.

Whiteline bushings are on their way.

I was thinking of MB Battles for the wheels.

      Exhaust will probably be custom.

I just removed all the gold badges today and will be repainted a burnt chrome.

I'm going to keep the body stock for now, but will get 95-96 tails.

All of that along with alarm install, new headunit, and paintless dent removal.

This won't be a quick build but coils wheels and brakes will be done before May.

Finally got around to doing something with the SC. I redid the ugly and corroded badges.
        Before

        After

I think it looks a lot better now.

And the best part of the car,

Whiteline bushings get here this week and coils will be ordered sometime soon.

That thing is so clean! From the looks of it, it should be easy to work with since its so mint.

Yeah I shouldn't run into any problems getting this built besides having money to buy parts.

Got these while I'm waiting for my tax refund to come in for coils.

They are getting installed tomorow just in time for me to listen to them on my drive down to the LBGP.

Neither can I. My lower back has been killing me this whole week so I've been resting up to get ready to kill it again this weekend haha. Got an appointment to pick up the wheels and get tires mounted at Evasive July 12th. That seems so far away.

To do list for the weekend.
-Change oil in the gfs car
                            -Relocate harness
                            -Fix door ding in fender
                            -Paint wheel wells
                            -Install coils
                            -Install Whiteline steering rack bushings
                            -Wash car

Glad to finally have the car coming along.

So the weekend ended up being busier then I had thought so I only had enough time to install the rear coils and relocate the harness. I still need to find a safe place for the SRS airbag wires and the hood latch cable. Also a weird thing happened after the moving the harness. Before I unplugged everything my car used to idle high when started. Now that's gone but when I stop at a light and its in drive I'm getting a vibration in the steering wheel. I know some people say its the motor mounts going bad but it just seems odd that it starts up right after I was messing with the harness...thoughts??

Just some of the two pounds of dirt i found hiding in the rear wheel wells.

This is where the rear ride height is at now. I raised it up so I didn't have a ridiculous reverse rake look haha.

I'll get the fronts on this week and then I'll play with the stance a bit.
