Alright.
I'm back!!
I mean, i never really went anywhere... ive just been doing what i can, when i can.
So.
Time for PICTURES!!!.
(bare with me, there is alot..)
New taillights.
Carpet/seats had to come out to swap the wiring harness' over. Good condition? :/ haa.
Started scrubbing the floor under the seats.
Replaced the dash pads over from the old one.
Lights in.
Petrol motor out.
Painted the grill.
And the chassis rails.
Along with the battery plate.
Painted then polished the toyota badge (got rid of the red on it too).
Before and after of the seats. Degreaser + Scotchbrit (the one on the right used to be the drivers seat, but swapped them over).
Had some rust in the corner of the engine bay. MIG ftw!
Bit of filler.
The plastic cluster cover had a crack in it. So took it out and cleaned the cluster. Looks heaps neater IMO.
I spent HOURS cleaning this carpet to get it clean. Cut the rust out of the floor and replaced then put carpet back in.
Replaced the crappy fake woodgrain and put the black pieces in from the old ute that id painted. Then scrubbed the dirt off the buttons. You can read them again!
Cleaned the shift boot from the old ute.
Painted the choke knob then took off the excess paint. Came up pretty mint!!
Drivers seat in!
Both seats in!! Excited!
Put the refurbished diesel tank and lines in. Plus filler nozzle and cap.
Diesel engine in! (thanks to the old man for the hand).
Scotchbrite all the water/air rubber hoses. Sooo much work. But they look better.
Re-taped the entire wiring loom and re-routed the positive harness so you cant really see it.
Scrubbed up the fan aswell. Re-painted the fan shroud and timing cover.
New clutch installed too!
I cranked the motor to make sure i didnt miss a stupid little earth wire somewhere. And it cranked!!D.
Everything in place except the radiator overflow. (did today..)
The only thing left to do to get it roadworthy is get new door skins put on, fix some rust in the roof, then refit the gearbox and tailshaft!!
Getting excited now!!!!D.
Ill have more updates and photos to share later in the week.
Thanks for looking!

Maybe a couple. Hopfully less.
Also, Ill be getting cracking on making the moulds for my bolt-on fenders soon.
Will be shaping them in foam then fibreglassing and painting. Then take parts.
Might also make some extra and sell if theres enough interest

Thanks dude!. Something different hey.
Also, some updates.
Started on the exhaust because i cut the old one off getting the engine out.
So i called my fabricator mate to see what he had laying around.
2" stainless on a diesel anybody?haha.
This is the bottom section near the bellhousing. 4th TIG weld. First 3 wernt so flash (been a while since i TIG'd last).
.
Old system didnt have a flange to remove the engine and exhaust together so found some flanges and MIG'd them on. Had to MIG them because they were 2.5" flanges.
.
Measure up the other piece of tube on the other flange and MIG'd it on too.
.
Went to go put the gearbox in, they sent me the wrong mount. So. Fixed. Haha..
Got the new door skins put on aswell.
Golf ball gearknob.
Also got the tailshaft in and shifter hooked up.
Had to cut the transmission tunnel open a bit because the shifter was hitting.
Ill have more updates this weekend hopfully.
Thanks guys!
