  • The rust makes it trendy. (1984 mazda b2000)

welp. my wagon has been sold after the headgasket blew and i didnt feel like fixing it as it had a few other obnoxious problems. so i picked up this 1984 b2000 from a buddy for 450 bucks, and got a spare motor with it

bought it as a daily. but ill definitely be doing some silly things with it. so stay tuned my friends!

    here it is!

    worst of the rust:

was cleaning out the inside when.... xbox and tv remote out of no where..

he used to take it offroad a lot so it was totally coated in mud... everywhere

doesnt look like much, but it was really caked on there.

    anywho.
    le first fill up

and i decided to clean most of the bay out this afternoon
    before:

    after:

so thats all for now. hopefully ill have it lowered and on some nice wide wheels in the next month or so

I'm in for some silly things. I don't think I've seen one of these Mazdas before. Less ground clearance and a dope set of wheels is all you really need. I'd rock the OG paint. Is it torsion bars out front?

Nah. Springs up front. They switched to torsion bars in the next generation. So I'll probably just cut springs. And i can also do drop spindles if I can find a set

Oh damn, is that the worst of the frame rust? Sucks but it looks saveable with some elbow grease

that frame is beyond saving, if its rusted through 3mm steel, then the potential for weakspots is endless. you'll have to either a. build a new frame from sctatch, or b. buy another frame in better shape. Option B is easier.
