That's my friend's 111 coupe. It has a modified 4.5 M117, 4 speed manual, and currently an exploded driveshaft.Originally posted by L_O_O_M View PostLooking real good. What's your plans for that w108 under the cover?
He was driving it daily until the driveshaft incident a couple weeks ago

I like your determination but I think you are buffing your car too often.
Everytime when you buff it the clear coat/color gets thinner and one day you will reach the metal.
Buffing twice per year should be plenty enough.Originally posted by getamongst-it
Lower your expectations, you'll be much happier.
Oh, and your car too.

No worries, I haven't used the wool pad or compound in a long time. I've only been polishing and waxing it with foam pad since I've been driving it. If I make it through the paint, I'll be proud of myself.Originally posted by Nagah View PostI like your determination but I think you are buffing your car too often.

No, I don't think his is for sale. You'd know the car if you saw it... 4 speed manual, V8, gutted, roof damage from people walking on it, decorative leather strap dangling from inside the hood, centras, slammed, etc.Originally posted by GTShunter View PostYour friends w111 is the rusty one fs for $9k?4 Cars, 0 Cupholders

Whoa! Yep, that's the juan. He didn't tell me he made an ad for it, probably because I'm the #1 advocate for him keeping the carOriginally posted by GTShunter View Post4 Cars, 0 Cupholders

^ Yep
More progress today, took the day off work. Ended up sleeping in until 2pm, but was productive for about 10 hours after that.

nice surprise under the battery tray..

amazing how much space i re-gained after the vacuum.

surface rust on the strut tower

at least the passenger side is sorta clean now

driver's side is not fun..

you know what is fun though? this hockey puck of a cam lobe on the old 5.0L

also started spot blasting the passenger side engine bay. me gusta.
