[QUOTE=ajnardo;1012284]just spend the 300 on struts and springs./QUOTE]
The car cost $500 if I recall correctly so would be worth 60% of the cost of the vehicle just for coilovers. Cut springs to get more low. On a side note the car looks great and makes me want to get a e21 to compliment my 2002.

If the goal is to get low, why spend a shit ton of money on lowering springs/coilovers? Cut springs increase in rate by cutting them too, so it gets low, stiffer ride, better handling. I've cut springs for years, compared to harsh coilovers I would take cut springs any day.

These cars cost alot more for struts and springs. We don't have any raceland options like the vw guys. For a legitimate coilover setup that will get low enough to suit our ride height, you're looking at over 800$ and/or alot of custom work and welding.Originally posted by ajnardo View Postokay first things first
props for working in the snow, im too pussy for that but i live in florida so its not an issue.
second thing: why the fuck does everyone on stance works cut their springs? just spend the 300 on struts and springs. sorry for sounding all bent out of shape, but on vortex (my original car forum) it's a cardinal sin to cut springs.
also nice car do good things

Well, I am only 16, and I have no job. So eventually I will get coilovers. But for now It is the cheapest way to look good. Thanks! I am trying my hardest to make it look good.Originally posted by ajnardo View Postokay first things first

He need spacers its hitting the strut he just needs 12mm spacers to make them work.Originally posted by DragginWagon View Posti assume you mean the wheel, when put on the car, is rubbing the strut on the inside, and when bolted down will not rotate. this will require spacers.
if its the opposite and sticks out too far and hits the fender, then its time to roll the fenders. pics or better explanations.

A guy in this thread is running 12mm spacers with his. The offset is +30 and the stock offset is +18 so 12mm would work to make it the same offset as stock.

Still not making sense. What kind of clearance do you need. Strut clearance? Fender clearance? I'm pretty sure you have plenty of brake clearance. Is the center bore the same? What about the offset?
Need more information to diagnose

Totally sorry. Well I was just wondering if someone with the same wheels, 195/60 tires, tried to put them on an e21 before. I have heard people have and had no problem. I will just get spacers and see how it plays out.Originally posted by willis View PostYou have to understand, you make no sense. You put tires on 14" wheels. You want to know if anyone else has done that? I've put 14" tires on 14" wheels before.
Learn about offsets and tire sizes and figure out where and why it's hitting. You're being to vague to expect any help.
