Hello all. Name's Chris and im located in Simi Valley, CA.
Ive built a number of cars in past - 1st Gen Lexus GS300, Lexus SC400, S14 240sx, S13 Vert, S13 Hatch, couple of '92 Toyota pickups and so on . . . .
My latest purchase is this 2005 Audi S4
This is by far one of the cleanest "build" cars ive had the pleasure to start my project.
Body/Paint were 9/10 (scratches rear bumper, rear passenger door ding)
Interior was 10/10 - absolute perfection (with the exceptions of floor mats)
Drivetrain 9/10 - tho mostly maintenance related repair and replacment, i have just recently ordered a new set of front axles.
Pics of when i picked her up - in all her stock glory.
After my usual maintenance overhaul - Engine Flush, Spark Plugs, Drive Belt, Trans Fluid Flush, Differential Fluid Flush and upgraded pads and rotors . . . i moved on to the fun items.
Decided to first dress up the brakes.
BEFORE:
AFTER:
Refinished the calipers in Gloss Red and then added a set of S4 Caliper Anti-Rattle Springs
Then onto a subtle change to the exterior and front facia. A set of Blacked Out Grilles, Black Vinyl Wrapped the chrome window trim and added a Cupra R Front Lip
BEFORE:
AFTER:
Next up Wheels & Tires.
Picked up a set of Altstadt by Riverside Japan. 19x8.5 with a conservative 36mm offset.
Next up - Engine Bay.
I found through most of my research on the Audi Forums that the actual engine bay covers will vary depending on the model. Mine was missing just about everything but the upper engine cover.
So i purchased everything i could find. New Batter Tray, New Intake Cover, New Reservoir Cover and a set of Carbon Fiber engine covers. I then refinished the Valve Covers in a Satin Black
Next stop! SUSPENSION!
Thanks to a smoking deal from Bag Riders, i purchased the complete Air Ride / AccuAir e-Level kit. Along with a few extra goodies like the AccuAir EXO mount and AccuAir Touch Pad.
Here is a pic of the trunk setup just before final completion.
And here are pics of how she currently sits.
