So been busy as hell but I figured I give you all an update cause a few things have happened since I last posted.

Firstly some truck with a hitch back into my car and took off, car is at the body shop but the person busted up my carbon fiber grilles and I threw out my stock ones.

While finding a someone to do a cash job to fix this, I ended up getting a call from a buddy that one of the shops in town had a rieger m5 bumper for e39s that they were trying to offload so the car is in the body shop getting my current bumper cheaply fixed till the winter is done and then this is going on, just picked it up.

I should have all the fittings to finally clean up the trunk and get everything back together. Put airbrake anti freeze in the tank, about half a cup of it and no issues so far with the winter apart from a one slow leak that I have yet to trouble shoot due to the idiot that hit me.
Mods: Dinan Upgrades (Intake, Throttle Body, Exhaust, ECU, sway bars, strut braces), e60 Short Shift, Airlift bags, Autopilot v2, Rieger M5 bumper.

Excellent build! Glad to hear you're liking the system so far! The fully threaded air struts definitely take a little adjustment to dial them in just the way you want, but once you get it all figured out they're great.

Sucks about the front end but I've always been a fan of the Rieger M5 bumpers on the e39's. Can't wait to see some more progress!

Yeah I'm going to spin down the front about to go down another inch and then the back comes down by half an inch...close though just need to find time.

I'm with you, they a expensive wheels and the price of the wheels, tires and air ride will come close to what I paid for the car so this is where I struggle because I know I won't be keeping this car forever and don't want to invest so much in aftermarket parts when I won't get it back.

I spent some time with a buddy that works at one of the local tuning shops and he walked me through some options, he directed me toward works rims...his argument was that 3 piece forged and super strong, price is great for what you get. I torn because I would like to keep this car with a more euro look and feel. I would like to get any of your opinions on works rims...this is the one that I like and am considering. P

Quit being a pussy and put it all the way down! E39's are so easy to drive low anyways, why bother with bags if that's all you'll be dropping it?

I will be moving and driving this car 2000 miles, so my major concern right now is comfort and making sure the air ride system will be all good. I'm chasing a few leaks right now and still don't have the system all tied up in back. Not including the bumper to be painted/fitted, wheel alignment, oil change and few engine items to make the trip.

Plus these are winters and winter is nearly done so I'm not wasting my time screwing around with this tons when new rims will be on it soon.

Got the bumper painted and put on...waiting on front kidney grills and lower grill for the bumper plus reducers for the trunk so that still isn't put back together. Also got it tinted but to be honest I put 35% all the way around and I think I could have done 50...little dark but will have to do for right now.
