Man I love this the e24 is one of my top 5 favorite cars ever, I need to get a clean one someday.
Great to see someone putting the work into a m6 that it deserves

If you ever need parts, I've got a e24 parts car.
I'm your guy Ill ship them to you for cheaper than you can find them anywhere.

Also, not to be a jerk or anything but there is no way this has only 29k on it haha

I can't wait to see some more progress on this build. The red car definitely passed for a great cause!

          Good stuff my friend!

Gotta keep them alive! Will let you know if need any parts for sure. But the mileage is legit. Last registration was is 1990 with 20k on it. Hasnst had any dealer updates from what i can tell either(i.e. hydrobooster canon ball was round version not flat botto
)(valve train stupid clean too)Guy that had it before me had it in his warehouse for some time and the guy before that had it out side baking in the sun for a couple years. Does this car have a garage kept 30k on it? Hell no. Probably tracked at some point and traded around with intentions of resto work.

                Nice 6er's!

How'd the leatherique go on the buffalo leather? I just ordered some of the rejuvenator oil and pristine clean to use on my buffalo....hoping it can soften it up and bring it back to life!

Go into the detailing section and look at my thread on leather restoration. Leatherique is so amazing i cant even explain to you the amazingness. Take your time though! Takes a while to start soaking in but drinks it after that. Buy a gallon of rejuvenator. Seriously.

I'll go have a look at your thread....thanks. I went with the 500ml(32oz I think) of rejuvenator for now, if I need more I guess I'll get more. They say you may need to do it couple of times to start with and then 6-12 monthly to keep it soft....so I suppose for the maintaining part I might need some more.

                        haha, okay
I bet some idiot blew the transmission up back around 1990 and its been neglected since, what an awesome find
Just let me know about parts! I've got an parts car I need to strip and get rid of as well as a ton of general 80's bmw stuff so its worth it to me to get rid of it, I usually sell for 10-20% less than the lowest price for the part I can find on the internet, especially if you know what you want and don't make me do research for you

And leatheriuqe is worth its weight in gold
I did a clearcoat strip> rejuivator> pristine clean> and a new coat of clear on the seats of my 87 e23 and it did wonders to the 25 year old texas baked leather. The backseats in that car feel nicer now to me than the seats in the bently Continental that my buddy's had in his shop

Just about there. Primer's on, getting blocked, primed, and shot next week.

Doing lots of prep work and refinishing. Hopefully a couple restoration write ups in detailing threads.
Pulling old tint and glass prep was Fridays work.

                            paint

The paint overall turned out pretty damn good. You could shave in this shit!
enjoyed the ride down the street in it.

Now I gotta remember how to get it all back together. Got a month or two ahead of me for all that. rs006's are in the works right now too.
