Question about the instrument cluster, Ive got the same problem with mine the board is fried. All the dials still work except for the speedo. BMW said it needs a new board and gear to make the speedo working again but will replacing just the gear make it work? or does it need a new board as well as a gear to work?

Not 100% sure about all that. SI boards go bad due to the batteries a the time and cause crazy this to happen but i dunno about the speedo. Are you talking about the odo and its gears going bad?? Will look at a couple of my spare cluster to see what your lookin at.

Ill be more than happy to help out with yalls smoke haha. Do. Service for a living so all that aint no thang. May not be bagged and flush but everything else jammin. Not 100% sure about all that. SI boards go bad due to the batteries a the time and cause crazy this to happen but i dunno about the speedo. Are you talking about the odo and its gears going bad?? Will look at a couple of my spare cluster to see what your lookin at.

Im talking about my speedometer, it does not tell my speed just sits at 0, and also yes my odo mileage meter thing does not work either. But every other gauge in my cluster works fine. Do you know what might be wrong with mine?

Your speedo probably may not be in the cluster. Need to check the speed sensor in the diff first off(continuity pulses). odos probably not going to clock without speed input. buku info on the net brah.

Thanks! Tryin to make all the progress i can. Been real busy lately. Tryin to get this thing presentable before sowo. Hopefully i can start strippin and trimmin for paint this weekend. Plan on buildin the rs005's before roundel reunion. Aimin for stock stance with this car.

If anyone wants to build this exhaust for a 6 or a 5 lemme know and ill post summit part numbers. Wasnt too expensive, all SS too.
