Next step to get low will be swapping to a builder kit in the front or Airrex's bags. And in the rear redo the mounts and radius the quarters... But I think I am going to do other things first.
Here are my next steps:
retint the whole car (50% on the windshield 20% on the sides and 5% on the back)
put a new nice audio set up in the car (I already have amps a Zapco 650.6 & Kicker ZX1500.1) I need to buy a sub But this will be prompting a pretty trunk set up focused on the beautiful audio equipment.
My drivers seats seams keep splitting so I either need to find another red leather GTO driver's seat with low miles. Or find some buckets to have re-wrapped in matching leather but that will be big money.
Also I am going to try to add a few small VIP inspired touches. I discovered Idealistic Design neckpads that match my interior really well both in color and shape so i am going to buy a pair.
Then lastly I want to get the vauxhall bumper for the car just so I can quit hearing "Hey why did you bring a domestic to a euro show"....
Vauxhall & Opels are slighly (30-50mm = max 2") narrower so the bumper wouldn't fit straight. I think you'd need bonnet, lights and fenders aswell. And some sheetmetalwork of course to get the fenders and bonnet fitting to wider front. Holden front would be easier, but that's not euro neither.
I have silver Opel omega 2002, should we swap the frontends?
Parts would be found easiest from Cadillac Catera. There's different front bumper, but Cadillac one would be better in us because of those orange cornerlights. I'll send you a grille for swap to Cadillac one if you decide to swap frontend. Then I'd have a Cadillac.
Sorry, I forgot the easiest way. Vauxhall Monaro, rebadged Holden. Even the steering wheel is in the wrong side of car.
Yep. The easiest bumper to get a hold of here is the Holden CV8Z bumper I am not sure of the model designation. It uses the same heaflights and JHP ships them out from australia. The VXR parts are just so incredibly expensive :/ My other option is try to get a replica kit since the whole kit was only $700 the last time I looked at it but International shipping costs on body kits would have to be awful. I actually did think of getting the catera front panels for a cheap front end swap as they pop up in junk yards all the time but they just look so much less aggressive to me. I wish the catera and GTO shared the catera's tail lights and trunk as they would be so fitting for my VIP inspired build. We actually pulled the steel door handles off of a black catera for my brothers GTO as they have plastic door handles and the paint chips off of them super easily.

I should've thought that VXR's are expensive. It's similar to Opel's OPC, Cadillac's V-models etc.
If you happen to run cheap junkyard Cadillac I'd be interested to have a grille and steering wheel emblem and trunk emblem from 00-01 models. I'm not sure if the tail lights are going to fit. They're obviously more modern looking than Opel ones I got.

I'll keep my eyes out for that stuff. The last 2 cateras I saw in the junk yard were pretty rough
long time no update. nothing major has changed. I put the car in storage to help stay focused on my schoolwork because I am taking summer classes. I guess car wise I did have it retinted. I went with 35% on the entire windshield 20% on the sides and 5% on the rear windshield.
The car did make it to sowo and back without any huge issues.
I got a chance to hang out with CJ (theseeker411) and that was super fun. He even convinced me to drive into the river bed with him and ODB.
If you want to see more of Alex Dooley's awesome photos of my GTO feel free to go to his flickr there are also a bunch badass pictures of ODB there! I feel beyond blessed have had this shoot done both Alex and CJ were awesome to chill with!

Also I booked my room for H2oi, so that is exciting. Shaun and I will be at the Sea Bay hotel at 61st street as well as a few other Low Culture Crew members which should be fun.
Have you ever thought of going the HSV Coupé4 route? It is a move from your very smooth look, but the little flares would probably be able to give you an extra inch of dish. Neither European or US markets got the Coupe4, only us Aussies, so it would be completely different to anything around. They're even a rare sight on the roads of Sydney.
Well it is not for certain yet, but my brother may be parting out his black GTO to get a new car before he moves for college so we may be swapping some of the cool parts onto my GTO.
Right now I am planning to use the Corsa catback he has (which is deathly loud and lets the car shoot flames), the JHP lip spoiler after it is repainted silver, and possibly his 05/06 brakes since they have brand new rotors and pads as well as being way larger than mine. Just a small update but hopefully this goes through.
