Well my girlfriend has a 2000 Subaru Outback as a daily driver and she's come to the decision she wants into the stance game. The initial plan was to buy a set of racelands for an impreza and call it a day, until I put it on the lift and to my disappointment realized that subaru changed the rear suspension to a multilink design away from the traditional macpherson strut. But after much discussion with fellow subaru owners I've come to the decision that I can use gc(93-01) impreza front coilovers and gh(08-11) rears from raceland. The decision to go that route instead of a set of legacy coilovers(cheapest set is $900) is we don't drive the car hard ever, we have faster cars for that, and we live in an area with smooth roads, so we don't feel the need to spend the extra 400$ if our only goal is low. I'll post up some pictures today, but it's currently stock height and nothing special.

Dumping my girlfriend's Outback
"Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you." -
Why don't you just bag it? Cheap and simple single compressor, 5 gal tank, and a simple manual management setup with switches. Stock struts with an aero sport bag mounted over them. You won't lay frame, but you'll be able to obviously adjust ride height and not have her smashing things up.
I'm aware of the number of people who enjoy static drops on this forum. Not posting to start a static vs. air arguement.IG: @kyle_eagleton

I've owned racelands on an impreza before, and for the price I was happy with them. We honestly don't drive the car hard in any way, and the roads are really smooth around here, to the point of it being wonderful. To spend it on our babied daily would be a waste, when it could buy heads for my mustang. This is just our quick, cheap low for fun. I've got two much bigger projects to work on this summer. Also with some skidplates we don't have to worry about it getting dragged over shit. I'll post some pictures up soon but I've been sick with a stomach bug.

However, raceland doesn't wanna sell me gc fronts and gh rears, they're being picky about it.

Yeah I smashed the headers in on mine so many times, it was ridiculous. I actually sat the car on the header once and had to have my friend rock the car back and forth to get traction to back it off. Good times.
