  • 1964 cal look bug survivor rehab...

Picked up a 64' bug that hadnt been driven in 18 years.
Was a cal look bug, some shaven trim, lowered
Coolest part is the car has a 5 speed tranny!
This is a garage build, by me! Im little late posting so I'll bring you up to speed were im at.

Hard to tell in the pick but someone booted this door, kinda caved in.

This hood is wrinkled and twisted..

removing all the panels for paint prep

had to go get a new hood as the one on it was a lost cause! I would of been in it 10 hours to get straight!

Got a new front clip as the front is missing metal, probally to get to the adjusters on the beam...lol

This is going to be a pain, all rippled up...

Let the stripping begin... Sandblasted around headlight bucket to get all the rust out of the pits. now i got clean metal.

Going to hammer and dolly rather than filler, trying to get all the metal straight first.

Good thing is I can get to the back of all these panels.

Nice attention to detail so far, and are most bugs there automatic? I can only find manuals around here.
