  • Meanwhile in Helsinki Finland. Pontiac Firebird 1999 'vert

I just bought a 'vert F-Bird, let's see what this will be.

    RH X-Rad's 8,5 & 10x17" with m+s tyres.
    Eibach lowering springs and shocks
    Custom interior.
    Sport exhaust.
Just that this is the 200hp V6 -model. Fastish though.

Oh just for you to know, -14 in celsius...

Finland summers? What you mean this is snow, It feels warm out, thus I shall wear shorts, open my shirt and drive top down like a boss.

In for updates on where this is going..

                  Haha thanks.

I just ordered some powerwindow motors and today I'll try to locate glue for the rear window.

I washed the roof first with soap and brush, then 2 times with mold wash for boat tarps then I sprayed the top 2 timmes wth sail boat sail waterproofing. It wasn't even moldy but I wanted to be sure.

Also I'm getting tomorrow some glue designed to attach glass to fabric roofs so then I need just to build a glueing fixture. I went to this boat store where the guy was helpful and enthusiastic as f**k. "Yeah this is what I would use on my own if I could afford to drive a 'vert"

                      Looks interesting!
Got to give credit for another soft-top driver here in the north.

Is the top supposed to stick out like that when itīs down btw.?
I had/have a similar problem in my car.. The top wonīt sit flush with the trunk when itīs down, even though it pretty much should.

Iīll be keeping an eye on this!

                        Greets to SAWO bro!
The top is supposed to drop flush, it just jammed there. Theres a fu**d up subwoofer box and an penny amp which is in the way, I'll throw them out as I get around to it. First I'll fix the roof though.

I've also had a New Beetle convertible as a daily so I kinda knew what I am sticking my mittens into.
Oh yeah and a SLK Merc too.

The roof glueing will be a tedious job. The glass is curved to all directions and you are supposed to fab up support to the both sides right. That sucks. Well I got the bottom one done.

Then I'll brace it up with some wood and try to do something to hold some weight outside steady while the glue cures and preferably would be quite evenly.

After I have removed all the previous glue.

This WILL suck. I just know it. And to make it even worse, someone have broken the rear window heater connector off. HTF you are supposed to attach one...
