Either way thats gonna look dope, can't wait till you get them mounted!!

WÉK SOSOriginally posted by Zic View PostNo even a test fit? Weak sauce.
haha i actually do, but that photo isnt mineOriginally posted by BananaClipArnold View Posti think you might have an exhaust leak.

i did, ok.Originally posted by Stupid Kid View Postput your wheels on ok
So VIPfest was a huge failure for me and i am very disappointed. i was up till 2 am on friday night and 430 am on saturday to get ready for sunday... but i ended up not rolling out there due to small studs on the front

i need to run at least a 8mm spacer for the fronts to clear brakes and spacer+wheel was not enough to even turn the lug nut twice around.
the plan was to roll out there with my wheels and no front fenders
STANK LS!!
enjoy the photos of saturday night
I first want to thank VIP tint and glass from Temecula for letting me borrow their heat gun and fender roller and to my big friend benjamin garcia for all the dope shots!
and i am the white boy in camps and a black snapback, not the asian

ALWAYS REPRESENTING!!

So now the wheels are off the car until i have free time to go and buy extended studs for the fronts. after that then the wheels will be put where they belong

forsure man, if youre worried just go with the 40 series, i went with 35 and im kinda sketch on them hahaOriginally posted by TMA-1 View PostI think I'm torn between running a 35 or a 40 series tire, potholes around here are no joke...
I'll keep my eye on your build for progress its gonna look pretty sweet when you're done. Maybe you can fit your wheels first and let me know what you had to do to get them to fit
Hopefully I'll get some custom coils this winter (take advantage of some Christmas discounts), relocate the wiring harness, and buy rear tires by the beginning of the spring and get it sittin right
i listened to you and went with the 255/35..probably should of went 265/35 lolOriginally posted by RolledAndPulledG View Post255/35 is literally perfect for a 11.5..the extra stretch will just give it more gap
thanks man!Originally posted by zebra View PostLooking good!
So on an update!
Not alot has happend but just the important stuff...
My plates came in as some of you have seen on my sig...

Got my tires
225/35/18 for the 10.5
255/35/18 for the 11.5

Went to a local store and they couldnt mount because "tires were too small"...lazy assholes. So i drove 2 hours to LA and went to 714 Tires to do some professional shit!
The infamous "no parking" wall

Then got them mounted with absolutely NO problems, i highly reccomend them for any tire/alignment needs!
255/35/18 front shot:

Above shot:

Angled shot...yes theres about a few mm of barrel showing on each side of ALL the wheels

Did a test fit last night, sadly no photos. But i have come to the conclusion that i am in way over my head, but fuck it yolo im gonna make them fit!
and then i came across this photo today, super clean undercarriage

i didnt buy all new tails, my friend gave me his sparesOriginally posted by TMA-1 View PostIn exact same boat as you, sold my STI and picked up a silver with dk blue interior 97 LS400 back in August. The day I picked it up http://i.imgur.com/eIpcBK0.jpg.
Looks like we're gonna have very similar builds the wheels I picked up are 18x10 +12 and 18x11.5 +18 and like you my car is ridiculously bone stock, but hey they're what I wanted and I had to get them before someone else snatched them up.
Why didn't you just vinyl out the amber on the taillights instead of buying all new ones? I got some vinyl for $6 and voila.
Also what size tires you think you're gonna be runnin? Mine are coming with 225/35 up front but the rears are bare and I'm not sure what to run, guess I'll have to wait for them to come and mock them up.
and for tire size im lookin at 235/35 for the 10.5 and then a 245/35 for the 11.5
