Probably because 00-02 handle like ass have plastic back windows and if your not careful your valve retainers will crap out on you. Can you tell I don't care for ap1? I've been seeing them go up in price, makes me wish I held onto my 05 a little longer I could have gotten more for it.

I'll eventually get another but once again I'll only settle for 04-05. Ap2 looks and drivetrain but still no traction control or fly by wire.

00-01 had the plastic window, one of the first things that i changed on mine. Honestly it's a matter of opinion between AP1 vs AP2. The AP1 is a lot more fun to drive but doesn't handle mods as well... If I could go back in time I'd own a 03 and a 09 instead of an 01 and a 04

So this happened...





Currently car is in the shop having the following done:

- Novi 1000 supercharger installed
- ID1000 injectors
- CT aftercooler
- Massive heatexchanger
- 3" pulley
- KPRO (huge PITA)
- Tune
- ACD HDSS clutch
- 30MM wider front carbon fenders
- Dry carbon canards
- Carbon rx7 side splitters
- RSG roll bar
- 255/40/r17 square RS3 tires

Still waiting on ASM carbon rear overfenders for the quarter panels before buying new wheels, however looking at some wedsport SA60ms:


If all things go as planned the car will be back in the shop just before snow this winter for some major work

Js racing half lip + dry carbon canards and an ASM dry carbon trunk professionally clear coated and drilled for the js wing down to fabricator to discuss the cage and more js suspension parts on the way!

Man I can't wait to see this thing with the wing on, I think s2ks and Voltex wings are the best combo ever

The real question is do I want a J's racing 1600mm or a voltex 1700mm. They are similar enough but different enough. Really interested to see how much wider the ASM overfenders will make the car as a 1600mm is just SLIGHTLY wider

What hardtop did you buy?

OEM Thankfully! It's just a shell with a few small dents however OEM tops are ungodly expensive. My plan is to paint it Berlina Black and rebuild it, same color combo as the Rio CRs. However funds pending I may only be able to wrap it in opt of getting other work done that I want.

I miss your Advans

You have absolutely no clue how much I miss them I actually told the buyer that I had sellers remorse 3-4 days before he picked them up although once I had agreed to sell them I had to otherwise I'd be one of those flakes that I ****.

So here is the gameplan:


I do want wide front fenders paired with the ASM overfenders and I'll pick up a pair of super advan V2s once the car is closer to being cosmetically complete and I can figure out what the ideal wheel size/offset to run with a full sized tire. I love the stance look however on a functional car I want a full size tire so there really isn't a lot of wiggle room for me and until this fall/winter I'm not willing to cut my quarter panels out and put the car in the body shop!

Trust me if anyone wants to donate me another set of Super Advan SA3Rs I will gladly rock them!!!
