Hey all,
I am happy to introduce.. an already introduced car.
I'm sure some of you if not none of you have already read a previous build thread on this car.. It was to the degree of stocker with wheels and coils and a bitch of an owner.. (me).
And once again... a 4x4 mode photo when i first got it.

And a photo of the uuber gross "poo tail lights"

then..

or possibly more.. I emptied the bank account. "on what" you say.. Well the two biggest problems where changed. PBM coils and stock Type X tail lights where purchased.
some loww was had..

And it received the ass god (nissan) originally intended. (please don't flame me about that comment
)

OK. Moving on.. by this point I had moved up the coast. Not much happened with the car, just a few sly skids in the rain here and there.
One fairly intoxicated night I spotted a set of RAYS Meshies on some form of internet page (can't remember) up in Brisbane (A long way away) and messaged the owner and committed to buying them.
For any of you who are wondering sizes..
F: 17x8 +24
R: 17x9 +24
I went to a place called "dreamworld" on the way home too. That was fun..

Having gotten home, I was rather disgruntled trying to fit the rims.. i needed a guard roll in the rear thanks to the 235 tyres and "sports" lug nuts/wheel nuts.. whatever you want to call them..
Anywho, I ordered them, rolled the guards with a metal pole then voila! My car looked pretty. IMO anyways..

This brings me to where the last build thread of this car ended.. I moved some photos around on photobucket and broke the links to SIW's. Being as lazy as I am, I'm really not bothered to resurrect it.
If you have made it this far.. well thanks for reading!
So.. Having lost 2 jobs, spending all my money on rims and petrol and theme parks.. It was time to move back home. From the last 2 pictures, The front was too high, so that changed pretty quickly..

Looking back, I shouldn't of been a bitch and lowered it more.. -_-
But here in Australia, you get bent over dry raped by the local enforcement for being TOO low. I've had pretty good luck as the legal limit here is 100mm for the lowest point on your car..
Anywho..

.. give or take.. I spotted a little treat that a friend of mine offered for sale. This would be an AAR (Araco?) fibreglass bucket seat with a genuine bride seat. Further research would soon find that araco made race seats for the old Group A Ae86 racing in Japan land. So I jumped on it (literally). Then it slyly made its way to my car...

By the way, Thomas the tank engine is a boss.. i don't care what you say
So after this.. or some time around this time i stripped the rear out. And realised ..

Took some photos..

Then..

Now here's where things get interesting (well for me anyways)..
My pretty little 180 was brought with an intention, and before I say it, I'm sure you've guessed what.. Yes, to go drifting..! After a night out for dinner with a close friend of mine he brought up that he was attending a drift event down south in his CA powered 180.
After getting super hyped, I said I would go and drift too
So next thing was to lock up that VLSD I had sitting back there. So shim the diff they said.. it will be funn they said.. said NO ONE EVER..
So I went out and got 2x 1.01mm shimms from nissan.. pulled apart the diff

I did have problems.. for starters getting the diff centre back together was a nightmare. Getting the diff centre back into the diff casing was even worse. And realising you didn't line up the shafts was just like being punched in the testicles multiple times..
Having taken so much force to reinsert the centre, we couldn't get it back out..
ENTER worst mechanic ever... I took it to my local workshop and asked them to take it out.. they tried battering/pressing the shaft in and ruining the teeth on the shaft
They didn't believe me when i said the splines weren't alligned..
They eventually got the centre back out, and we put it back together properly. Only this time the shaft wouldn't go in because of the ruined splines. I H*** MECHANICS!
So i took the shafts home, pulled out the grinder and did a super shifty DIY job and got the diff back together just in time for my first ever drift day.
On the road for 2 hours, the diff starts wining REALLY badly, my heart sunk, and I attempted drifting anyways..
I even made a video.. HERE
So long story short, my diff held together, I sucked at drifting, and I had the best time ever!
Then came Christmas.. I spent it with a close friend, and I made another video HERE.. and took 1 photo. yes 1..

After Christmas I was strung along to another drift day. This time held on a large piece of concrete with water constantly flowing on it.. called a "wet pan" day. Woo my second time drifting
This was much better than the first time, I was prepared and was confident that my super winy diff wouldn't break.
During the day I met alot of friendly people and we began the 180sx TandemCrew.
We drifted in the same group all day and obviously.. did some tandem runs
Heres some photos..

And I even went to the effort of making another video.. HERE
So.. once again i left with a grin from ear to ear, and an addiction to drifting.
After the 2nd drift day I got myself into some debt, having received a $232 parking fine
and owing some money to people.
I went and took another photo...

Then put my rims for sale..
That brings me to approximately 7 hours ago. A white man came and took my wheels away in exchange for some green dolla dolla bills 'yall.
And now I'm out of debt
Also I wanted to share my photos around so a little while ago I made a Tumblr account. Its called TheSlipperyDinosaur Follow me if it tickles your fancy.. or don't.. I don't mind.
Stay tuned for some exciting things to come!
