As far as I remember, there are two different rear axle widths existing.
The smaller engines – like your 520 – had the wider ones.
(Or maybe I remember some proper rubbish, someone here will know.)

You can't go wrong with an E28. Miss mine still.
My 1978 Porsche 924 build thread is quite boring.

                  Love the E28.
The strange fact is that I only have issues with the right-front tire. Left front fits perfectly. Everything is the same, also wheel width, tire width and ET. Will be inspector gadget in a couple of minuts to see if we can figure it out.

Looks nice! You should get a front spoiler that fits in with the trunk spoiler something sporty!
                      wait..what?

                        Now I hawe a couple a questions.
I have same E28 1985 and I want to lower it, but I don`t now how much can i cut the oem springs?

And is anything special to watch when cuting? Or just disassemble cut and put back on the car.

                        Thanks.

                          Hi all,

Been a while. Became a dad since last time visit

Because of that I haven't had much time to spend on my e28. But we've bought a family car next to the 520; 2001 525D High Executive chipped to 200hp (full leather, automatic, 16:9 original nav and so on)

Hereby some pics of 2 6cilinders on my driveway:

Hey, i've got the same car (520i type 1 1982) and u have problems fitting the rear because a 520i and 518i have drum brakes in the rear instead of disc brakes. those are 1 -1,5 cm wider.
How does the cut springs ride? Are u using B8's?

edit: just noticed ive bumped a year old topic, sorry.
