'72 Merc W114 in the making

Hi guys,

This is my first proper build thread and from looking at other's, I think mine will go on indefinitely

Well I purchased this car from retrorides uk. At the time I saw it, I was at uni browsing through the for sale threads and came across this beaut. Straight away I said to myself i'm having this no questions asked, however being carless at uni and not being able to get to London, I rang my dad transfered the funds of only 500 of my good hard earned pounds and told him to get it for me. It was about 2 weeks after my dad had got the car that I even got to look at it in the flesh. From the pic i saw on the add it looked really good, however I think becuase ive wanted one of these for so long my brain just told my eyes lies haha.

I told myself this car's not going to be like my last mercedes, weld it ASAP, bodge the body with filler and get it through the MOT. NO NO NO. This is going to decimate all, if I put about 15,000 grand into it and overnight parts from Germany(nice little fast and furious take there ).

My main aim's for this car are going to be:
New paint job, original Mercedes red
New set of custom 3 piece alloys made by moi on solidworks and then sent to a machinist
Revamp the interior however keep it as standard as possible
AIR RIDE AIR RIDE AIR RIDE
