  • My mercedes 1974 240d

Well it's been a long few weeks.

    I sold my m3

    And picked up an s2000

But I couldn't daily the s2k since I don't fit, so what did I do? Picked up an old diesel mercedes of course! The guy I got it off of bought it from a little old lady that couldn't drive it anymore and it has service records since it was new. Right now it's on cut springs but once my s2k sells it will be bagged and I have some rs's for it as well.

Awesome, it looks like its in mint condition. I guess you'll have to get use to the lack of power lol I went from a 1.8T audi to a diesel benz and it takes a while to get used to, I can imagine its much harder going from an M3 and S2K to an old diesel :S

Looks like a nice clean body to start with! I **** that green but for some reason that car pulls it off.

Looking good man. I also love(d) the m3 and s2k.

It's sooooooooooo slow I didn't even know a car made could be this slow.

          Ls1 swap shall commence.

damn, what were you Americans thinking back in those years... those bumpers! (facepalm)

We (US & EU) should trade some things:
-Us Europeans want the bigger v8-brakes and rotors, engines and leather interiors, because they're pretty rare here.
-In return, we can provide you Americans with shiploads of Euro bumpers, headlights, rearlights, diesel parts, wheels, and numberplates

                how 'bout that?

I'm just glad someone around here knows how to work on these damn things, there is nothing online about them.

This was one of the first years of the big ugly bumpers, the pre 1972 bumpers are what I need but that will have to wait. For now I'll just tuck them.

I might, my friend has a m104.922 (3.2l i6) I could swap in, it would just need new gaskets and such since it leaks pretty bad as is.

Thanks man, it always starts out simple but then ends up more complicated as I go.
