  • Another E28?!

New here, figured I'd post myE28 that I'm piecing together..

    1987 BMW 535IS
    212k miles on the body.
    M30B34 with ~150k
    5 Speed.

When I first got it. April 2012. Forgive me, I had to rip all these pictures off webstagram because my phone got smashed..

    Dem Bottlecaps doe.

    M-turdy

    delivery boy status.

After having the car for about a month on those horrid bottle caps, I took a trip down to the pick and pull and scooped a set of 15" style 5's for $130 with tires.

Poop dollar on the 4th of July

    Bumper tuck came next.

    And then, the low.

    And finally, my personal favorite.

I'm on cut springs.... cut eBay springs that is..

Cut about 1 1/2 off the fronts, and left the rears untouched. Its bouncy as fuck around town, but smooth as butter on the highway. I plan on making/buying a better suspension setup eventually. And I'm still undecided on what wheels I want to run. But I'm sure i'll find some on here. Let me know what you think!

Looks good man. Don't worry about cut springs, I think everyone of us E28 owners roll on cut springs..

My cars ride is horrible. The front is stiff as fuck, and the rear is really soft.

What were you expecting? A luxurious ride? For one it's old springs, plus shit struts. That are cut. They could ride worse. I prefer a stiff ride, Just one of those weird things. I **** really soft riding cars.

hmmm idk i think they may make a kit from an e30 or e34 that might fit. do you have seperate shock and spring in the rear or is it a spring on strut assmbly?

they make E30 and E34 kits. And the rears aren't like E30's, its spring on a strut assembly.

I just got a E34 kit from them you might be able to fit the e34 kit... they are spring on strut assembly. Where in mass are you from?

I've read up on fitting e34 coils on e28s.. i forget what it is but something is different in the front, and the rears are too long. I'm from Fitchburg. central mass, like 15 minutes south of the new hampshire border.
