Parking my car this Saturday, gunna do Suspension, Might make my own depending on when Broadway Static releases their E28 kit. Or I might just bite the bullet an bag it.

I also wanna get the body all cleaned up, looking good an get it resprayed to a charcoal black. Simliar to this:



Also, how hard is it to convert my style 19's into 3 piece? What companies make the barrel/lip I'd need? I wanna do a step lip, but stay 17".

A few of us that rent a huge shop together parked our cars for the winter, Here's where she's resting for the winter.. gunna try to clean up the little rust I have, fix the dents/roll my fenders (Hella) Repaint the car, and hopefully bag it.



I also pulled my wheels off, gunna polish them an redo the faces!

Since parking it, ALOT has happened. I've picked up another E28 535i (Manual though!) as my winter beater, this thing is rusted the fuck out, but runs like a top. (aside from blowing a brake line out last night while cruising)

I shall riddle you with updates, and pictures.

I picked up this 1986 535i 5spd for $850 runs and drives like a top! Although, I blew a brake line yesterday, I still consider this thing mechanically sound aside from that. I'm amazed. Because it's rusty as hell.


After picking up that for a daily, I decided that I can finally start tearing the other E28 into pieces. So off came the fenders, valence, hood, etc. Just so I could pull the motor, do a respray, and clean up the engine bay.









After pulling the motor, ditching the auto trans. I decided I'd turn this car into a full blown project car. I'm talking brand new head build, new everything minus block, conrods and crank. This thing is gunna look fresh.

I'm still on the fence if I wanna turbo it, or go ITB's.

Did a little work on the daily, the rear muffler was a bit rotted out, decided to remove it, didn't realize just how bad it was...:


Started tearing the motor down to a bare block to get it ready for hot tanking, primer, and paint.




This motor was rusty an crusty on the outside. But a bit of wire wheel action, and a bit of sand blasting will get this thing looking minty as ever!



Cylinder walls had no scoring, no ridging, so that's good!


Pistons looked pretty good for the miles as well!


The crank looks to be nice as well. It has no scoring, no scratches, etc. So I'm all around pretty happy!

An this is how I left it. No sleep with a work in a few hours, I needed some rest!
