I'm not really feeling 5 or 6 spokes on the car, I played around with the idea but I really wanna go with either something like this or a basketweave like rs's or some other aftermarket basketweave. I'm gonna try and leave it static actually, and I'm really considering a body drop since it's a full frame car. I know that's a huge project so I'm gonna continue to research it, but it's definitely an option.Last edited by Trif0rce; 01-10-2013, 10:13 PM.

I definitely want to shorten the stroke on the bumpers to tuck them closer to the body, and I want to paint the eggcrate parts of the grill black but leave the main crosspieces chrome. I love the nose though, it makes me think of a cruella deville car. Here's an idea that I've been toying with as well. The trim pieces that run down the sides of the car are currently just leather textured vinyl strips on top of chrome and it looks just.. cheap. How would a stained wood strip look? I have access to my uncle's very well equipped woodworking shop and he'd be more than willing to help me out. Definitely period correct, and i think it'd be a nice touch. Also considered burlwood headlight bezels? I think against the black, and being the type of car it is it could pull it off..

No way man, I'm not really a fan of murdering out older cars.Originally posted by Bystrov View PostMurder it out , get rid of all the chrome and make it all Black... All black everything! with thick ass black tires and matte wheels.... Also id love to see this wrapped in Matte black...
Redwood would look really good. It's already got burlwood laminate on the dash so I figured it'd be a cool touch.Originally posted by rice4life View PostDo some redwood O:
This has so much potential. Make it look like satan drives it.

So here's some quick pictures I snapped with my girlfriend's iphone. The interior in this thing is so sweet

More close up shot of the nose. It's styled really similar to the Monte Carlo's of that vintage. Thinking of pulling off those bumperettes.

Tons of space between the radiator and the nose, it's impossible working on this engine.

Worst rust on the entire car, and a close up of that side molding.

Looks pretty cool in your photoshop with the wheel change. I think what you're trying to get is a mesh wheel in larger than stock diameter but without going too modern, right? I'm glad you're not making the mistake so many shops seem to make of putting a wheel design that's too modern on an old car. BBSs with a bit of polished lip but painted centres would be nice, the ones in the photo are a touch too bright and sharp to compliment the body style. Could be such a winner though

Yeah exactly, I really can't stand new wheels on old cars. Everybody is telling me to go with torque thrusts but they're sooo played out in the muscle car scene. I think basketweaves really are the way to go for the classy look I want. I might pick up a set of 16x7 crown victoria basketweaves until I can afford a really nice 17x9 or 18x9Originally posted by magnumleigh View PostLooks pretty cool in your photoshop with the wheel change. Found a set of 15x10 centerlines. If it wasn't for the slits in the lip all the way around I'd pick these up in a heartbeat! I do kinda like them though..
