hey guys, been looking on here for a while now but have only recently picked up one of my dream cars so i thought i'd start a thread. its a 1978 mk1 series1 golf GLS, its in amazing condition concidering how old it is! plans are the usual wheels, coils, bits n peices and then eventually if i dont get defected an engine swap. so far ive just got my wheels, theyre off a mustang haha rears are 14x8 and fronts are 14x6 with neg something offset that im still yet to be bothere to work out. should be getting the wheels cleaned, redrilled and powdercoated charcoal black next week! anyway here she is..

I am not sure if I am digging the mustang wheel idea, but who knows it could look great.

Car is ridiculously clean otherwise. Looking forward to see what comes of this.

That red looks great on it. Pictures are sometimes deceiving but the paint looks really nice.

Haha nah there will be no rust or any of that! Want to keep this as clean as i can!
Thanks everyone aswell, the paints in rwall good condition other than the rof because the clear coats peeled off :/

Also a question, is there anyone here thats selling second hand coilovers for one of these? Not sure about buying brand newies just yet
