Hey guys, Baxter Here, im 18 from Brisbane, Australia

recently picked up this mk1, from a guy at work. for cheap as a daily so i could focus on my hilux....

The golf, as i picked it up. on the 17/11/12

wasnt planning on touching it, as it was a daily.

-the weekend after i bought it this happened.

    out with the old -

    in with the new -

    - then decided it needed paint, with no experience at all with bodywork/painting, and very little with welding, i decided to tackle it.

    Lots of rusts -

went to the shop to buy paint, hilux planned otherwise #lowlifeornolife

Stupidly forgot to get photo's of most of the repairs, but it ended up like this,
99% rust free, no body trim, badges, ariel gone.... I love smooth....

Managed to get the colour on today...decided to keep it orig with mars red.

Colour is on, should get the clear done tomrrow, then fit everything back up

few more future plans. coilovers, wheels and a few other goodies.

might chuck an 1800 in aswell, maybe. Need to remind myself its just a daily.

    will keep you posted!

    Cheers, Baxter.

Cam ho seats are cool, although the old ones were classier.

Good work so far, for sure.

The golf looks mint. Will be sweet to see it all back together.
