yes, i enjoy driving different kinds of cars. every car gets lowered, up to date maintence/repairs and then i enjoy it for a bit. i get bored with the same car every day.

the ef has sat like this for about 2 weeks. i dont even have the title for it yet.



last sunday it warmed up to 50* so i removed my wood burner and cleaned up the garage. the ef had a weird noise coming from what i thought was the water pump. i tore it down and the water pump was recently replaced and smooth/tight. found the noise was a loose a/c compressor pully bearing. compressors for ef's are expensive. i ripped off the front end and removed the entire system except the evaporator. now its got new belts and all new fluids (except p/s). the engine is good to go. i also chopped a coil from the front springs.

these will be my daily wheels. 13'' honda steelies with new tires, mk1 wolfsburg rabbit caps. i cant haul engines/transmissions with the tire sidewalls rubbing on the fenders, but i can with tire tread patch rubbing on the inner wheel wells.





i gotta bring the rear down, install extended tophats and notch the shock towers. the ucas are sitting on the towers so its not really driveable.

the ef had been on daily duty for a month now. i just completely ripped the exhaust off on a pothole this afternoon, so its stuck at work until i can get time to weld it back up. thank god for rental cars at my job.

i also snagged this for a fair price last weekend. needs alot of maintence done but its a very clean start. '00 gs400 platinum edition, which means factory touch screen nav, hids, heated perforated leather, nakamichi etc etc..

ya its a nice daily driver, thats for sure! still doing reserch and deciding which direction i want to go with it as far as modifications. got some maintence done tonight on it so when its all up to date the mods will come.

given the chassis at hand, building it to perform, or even building it to look like it can perform, is out of the question.

im considering air suspension... but i've always been a static purist, so this goes against all those times i've poked fun of my buds who roll on air for being pussies.

we will see. i still need to replace the rear brakes, timing belt and water pump and tires before mods start coming in.

i've had it for a week but i havent been able tear into it yet. the engine runs great. the car is a very nice southern rust free example. its got some cool shit on it already. the paint is fucked. all the body panels are fucked. and the interior and hvac are all gone. the only thing i've done is install the shit fitting front bumper that looks like poo. the car came with a big box full of adjustable suspension arms and rods for the car, as well as some derlin bushings that i'm sure need to be installed.

i've got less than $600 into it. plans are to throw some parts at it, make it look better, enjoy it for a bit, then sell it for a profit. i just sold my b16 swap today so parts will be getting ordered soon.


as for the gs, i've just finished getting it up to date on maintence. i decided to put it on the back burner for a while and just enjoy it as a daily driver.
