Well i definitely didnt think id be making a build thread on here when i first bought this car about a year ago (Oct. 2011). Ive had my fair share of "low/stanced" cars but after all the frustration and basiclly ruining my cars i thought id give it a break and focus on things other than getting my bumper closer and closer to the ground
After 9 or so used cars i finally took the leap and bought a brand new car. 2011 WRX Satin White Pearl, base model, no options

I told myself i wouldnt touch the suspension so i started with some simple bolt ons.
Cobb accessport was an obvious first choice. Flashed stage 1 to the car with like 600 miles. This started to awaken the beast inside

We all know theres never enough power so i added a
Grimmspeed heat shield

Perrin Catted downpipe

and flashed to a stage 2 torqued performance tune. This probably put me at like 290whp (I was slowly getting addicted to the power)
Didnt want to blow anything up since this was my only car and started to replace all the plastic junk that wouldnt last too long with 20psi
Turbosmart Kompact Series BPV

Took her to the track to see how shed do. Not too bad for my first time with this car.

Also upgraded to an AEM cold air intake around this time. Heres a shot of how the bay was looking.

Another precautionary measure...Clustermakery smy gauge pod (not my picture and i am also running a different gauge. Just for reference)

Got tired of being quiet so i splurged on an Invidia Q300 quad tip catback. Arguably the best looking and sounding exhaust so it was an easy choice in my mind. Also debadged the rear at some point.

Went to the track again and was pretty hype with the outcome. 12.75 @108

Ordered this in preperation of going Torqued Performance stage 3
Grimmspeed 3port EBCS

Also picked up a DW 65c fuel pump and FMS Top Mount Intercooler. No pictures ( I started to slack off) but heres some generic ones to give you an idea.

Installed this somewhere in that time period too
Cobb Shift Knob

So this is where things get fun. I was sitting at about 300awhp and though it was fun i wanted a little more. I had a 2011 Honda Ruckus i built and decided id sell it and fund a turbo upgrade. Took her to R/T tuning for the install and tune (Only thing i didnt do on this car by myself)

Blouch Dominator 1.5xtr turbo
Perrin Big Tube uppipe
DW 850cc injectors
Also switched my downpipe out for a Invidia catless
Went and picked the car up about a week later and was beyond happy with the upgrades

Now i know what youre thinking...we dont give a fuck about power...well i finally bit the bullet and bought some BC BR coilovers and Mach V Awesome wheels.
Specs on the wheels are 17x9 +42 wrapped in 265/40/17 Falken 452s....boring huh? Exactly. Heres some pics though.

I wasnt super hype on them or anything but it was a look i wanted to try out so that's that. Also notice i threw on some Rally Armor Mudflaps
typical subie owner
Made it to the track once again after i put the wheels/tires on and was slightly unimpressed by my time. 12.51 @110ish Was hoping to be closer to 11s but its whatever. I blame it on track conditions/too wide of tires. Also the car was slightly detuned from the last dyno sheet due to an overboosting problem. So i was on a mission to get that taken care of as well as do something about the suspension/wheels.
Oh yea, took the car to h2o as well for my 4th year there (if you know me, its probably from vwvortex as thats really where my heart is
)
Took these the morning i left to head down.

Last picture with the wheels on as i quckly took them off and sold them. H2o really got me bummed about the direction i was going with the car. It was fun as shit dont get me wrong. I loved getting in it everyday and driving it but i guess i missed the looks and attention all of my other cars got. Not too sound cocky, or self absorbed but anyone who says they dont enjoy people staring at your car as you drive by is lying
I decided i wanted to go a little lower as these coilovers werent quite cutting it. I bought a set of BC BR Etreme Low coilovers and sold the set of standard br's.
At this time i stuck my stock wheels back on lowered it down a little bit. Its not all the way down but pretty close ( i know, i know...for coil overs advertiesed as "extreme low" these do not go all that low).

So thats where im at with the whole stance part of the build...kind of a crossroad.
In the mean time i picked up a used grimmspeed ewg set up and manual boost controller to get the car back to its full potential. Installed them both and had Andy from R/T tuning touch up the tune a little bit. To say she is running/sounding perfect is an understatement. Super happy with it right now.
Heres a pic of the mbc...the ewg isnt really visible so heres some generic pictures. Also picked up COBB's iwg bracket to hold the stock wastegate shut.

Also made a little shitty video to show the sound of the EWG...just an iphone video, and i hit a big bump during 3rd gear so thats the little hiccup.
