Evening people of America (and a few others from elsewhere!),
I have been on here a while familiarising myself with everything and generally browsing, and started a build thread for my blue E36 saloon which I bought in a beaten up state earlier this year. However I gave up mid-respray and bought myself this.
Spec.
Saab 9-5 Vector
2003, FSSH.
12 months MOT and 6 months tax were negotiated in the price. Which was 1300 quid.
Engine:
2.2 TiD 16v - Sounds big… it's not, it’s 120bhp! But who needs to go fast whilst their low??
When I bought it, 169k
Interior:
Full black leather, dual zone climate control, air con, the works!
_______
For a couple of months I enjoyed it as a comfortable family saloon, until I started looking for coilovers!
I heard from a handful of UK based forums that Vectra B coils would fit, so I bought some for £150 quid roughly on eBay. Long story cut short, they didn't fit! So a refund later and no pay for a month I bought a beautiful set of Maptun coilovers from Neo Brothers in England for a hefty £650 to my door.
I spent the first day taking pictures of them! They're so beefy! ..and the following day watching my mate grease them up and fit them. This was roughly a fortnight ago now.
Since then I've removed the rear badges just to clean it up a touch and have given the EGR valve and MAF sensor a clean, which has made a massive improvement!
The best bit: (other than the ridiculously comfortable coilovers)
18x9 Super Advans, 114.3 ET35
These are currently being prepped but will be ready for fitting during January.
Got a few photos for you here... if anything changes you’ll be the first to know!

Maptun Goodness.
