Loving it, making me miss my ruck. Couple tips, there is a mounting point for the horn inside the battery box. That's actually what the vents behind the headlights are for. And I say lose the mini luggage rack from your headlight bracket. It will clean things up a lot. I've never seen that little light and panel before, but I've been out of the ruckus game for a couple years now.
I never went gy6. But I was planning a mini stretch using a golf cart rim in the rear when I decided to sell. I had my 49cc topping out around 64mph on flats so I was never worried about swapping motors. I can't wait to see the finished product.

Thanks for the pointers man. we actually mounted my friends inside the box like that. The only reason I haven't ditched the little rack yet is because I still like the idea of using it since I've lost my under seat storage. I guess there are a few things I'll be doing that go against the the grain as far as modded Rucks go like keeping the stock floor board.

I would have liked to build up the GET, but it was just too cheap and easy to go the gy6 route and still have the option of going big bore with it.

I still don't have any good pictures or anything, but I've gotten a lot done on the Ruckus over the last few days. Tree and I have been hard at work putting mine back together and swapping his brand new gy6 for another brand new gy6. Long story with a bad crank... Anyways this is what's been going on.



I took my really long muffler



and made it a really short muffler



I also made a header, but I didn't take any pictures because I went to meet Gene (244Brick) and some friends for a beer. Much more important...



Wow, I'm really just now realizing how few pictures I actually took... So I guess we just skip to the end where I tell you I put it back together and rode it...







So I still have a ton of parts to order like a different seat frame, bars, front wheel/tire, pegs... all kinds of crap. Also after riding I realized I wired my blinkers backwards so that's got to be addressed... They both run now though so don't judge me.

I got a crap load of work done on it today, but I didn't take any pictures. oops

I was completely unhappy with the way the Ruckus turned out so I did what any other self respecting man would do...

I ripped it back apart.



Tree and I both decided we still had more we wanted to do to these stupid things and we figured now was as good of a time as any so here we are. His ridiculously expensive Powered By Max titanium exhaust actually broke in half on his first ride to Atlanta so while he's waiting on it to be repaired he's doing a mild wire tuck.



Myself on the other hand, I'm to lazy for wire tucks. I'm just taking off unnecessary crap and adding some more. First off I snatched the front fender off along with installing a gas tank cover in place of the stock floor board. It's a cheap ill fitting Chinese one with fake carbon fiber printed on it so I hit it with some red plastidip to make it less ugly after trimming it to fit.









Then in place of the gigantic stock seat frame I installed another freebie in the form of this botched seat frame. Someone added about 4 inches to it to accommodate longer legs which is great and all, but they welded like a blind man with parkinsons. It also extended the rear "turn up grab handle thing" past the rear of the frame. This was all remedied by my grinder and welding machine. I made some less ugly ground down welds and hacked the rear of the frame off.



The seat sits in a great position on the frame for my long ass legs, but it lets the front of the frame poke out past the seat a pretty good bit. Either way it looks good enough for me until I order the seat frame I really want in a week or two.













This is where the thread starts to get a little gay again... The stock rear shock just wasn't cutting it after stretching the rear end and was allowing the exhaust to smash into the ground. I didn't want that. SO, I had this pretty bad ass rear shock off of an old full mod mod pit bike that I parted out a couple years ago and it absolutely HAD to find it's way onto the Ruckus. It's longer however and has a different style mount so I had to get all creative and make new brackets for the engine side of things. Coincidentally my new brackets look like penises... and my lovely friends have sharpies... so here we are now.





I wish i had taken more pictures of that part, but my phone died. I'll get some more of that later. So until next time.
