hello guys
I'am a new member on here but have been lurking around for ages and finnaly thought ill do my own build thread.
I had a e30 for nearly 2 years and had loads of plans for it (as we always do) but just never had the time or finances to doo all i wanted, then unfortunalty some muppet jumped a red light and wrote it off
and now
Anyways I thought I'd better get something a bit more practical for work, so a boring van was on the horizon. Looked on all the usual places until this poped up
Its a vaxhall astra sportive, 1.7 CDTI! (yes its a wiesel!) mapped up to 121hp but around 250ft/p tourque. Bought it, took the horrible lenzo 18's off and replaced them with me Dare rs of the beemer (I know reps arent cool on here but erm....... o well
)
Other then a small scratch on the front bumper the bodies nice and tidy. The interior is unfortunalty not one of vauxhalls finest, even tho its got GSI seats, and the mechanicals are a work in progress lets just say.
plans are,
1. work out what cheap ass coilovers are on it and consider if I wanna replace them
2. replace all the gear linkages to make it feel nice to change gear rather then slotting it in and hoping!
3. just ordered a nice zust for it to replace the one thats been bodged in there
4. roll the rear arches and drop it just a tiny bit more
5. sort out the awful interior, maybe some porshe seats
that aught to keep me busy for a while
