  • My e46 aggressive/track stance with added front camber bit

So I have been away from the car forum thing for a bit. But I wanted to start a build thread to document my journey to aggressive front camber race/track stance as well as functioner..
A little history on my car is it was purchased from a guy on here, paul. It used to be on bags and have oz futuras. I then purchased it, and put it on chrome staggered 18" style 32's, Shortly after putting those on I broke the oil pan driving around Seattle streets... Oops. Anyways fast foward a bit and the engine began to develop rod knock, 22x,xxx miles is a bit for a car that has broken probably 5 pans in its life time haha. Anyways it ended up throwing a rod out the side of the block after getting worse and worse. So it was time to pay up. I purchased a 6x,xxx mile swap and swapped it out on my own, which was a task in itself and I would for sure pay someone next time.

To make a long story short, its had a bit of a hard life in my hands. I got discouraged for a bit and just wanted to sell it. However ive been bitten by the car modding bug again and I would like to just document it properly for once, which is something I always wish I would do when building a car.

    Here it is stock:

Here is it when paul owned it and the front was bagged:

Another local guy and I when I had style 32's and on coils:

This is a somewhat cheater pic, but it was low. I broke the pan once:

And another shitty cell photo since I never really had time to take pictures:

Anyways, you get the point. The car has had a few other stages too but the future is a little different. Like I said I would like to have a lot of front camber 6 degrees would be nice. But there will be no stretched tires if possible I am going for more of an aggressive track/race car look.

This will be added to periodically as I get more things in for it. Camber plates and arms will be on order shortly along with adjustable sway bar end links. The build will come in stages, suspension will take priority for a while though.

    Any input is well received.

To give you and Idea, this is -3.3 front -2.7 Rear so I was hoping for the -5 range front and about -2.5 rear

The style 32's were 18x8 18x9 F/R respectively. I dont remember the offset though. I had spacers front and rear but I dont recall the size. tires were 215/35 all around.
New wheels now. Ill post some iphone pictures in a few.

              Got new wheels.

So I finally started getting car parts again. Picked up some new wheels.
OZ Mito 17x8.5 et13 with 225-35 all around.
I plan on lowering it more when I get some new coils and camber plates. The racelands have lived a hard life, and bouncing around on too low blown out coils is not for me anymore. So it'll stay at this height until then..
I also picked up some adjustable front sway endlinks, and adjustable rear camber arms, which ive yet to put on.

This is coming soon. The rears are currently rolled, however I would like it more aggressively so.

              Annddd the wheels

I bought the wheels from my co worker, who had them on his e30 M3

              Also got some replica headers

And some 15mm ichiba 5x114 adapters for after I get my camber plates and arms on.

As a finisher, I blew up my lip this weekend so.. new 'aero' coming soon as well.

And yeah, I know the car/wheels could use a detail.. And the centers are not staying black.
